Idk if it’s an unpopular opinion or not but Silco had many redeeming dad qualities overall. He never makes Jinx feel bad for the voices she hears and the stuff she sees (granted he doesn’t do much to really help her cope with it either) but I think he does the best he can with the pep-talks of you have to let the past go and trying to help and move past that night. He never berates her for anything. Even when she messes up and Sivika is pissed he still ask for her side of the story and helps her through the pain of she thought her sister was alive. Honestly I think he handles the hard chats of this mistake will set us back while also being aware of how sensitive Jinx can be very well. Is Silco manipulative yes no doubt but I think he also was a decent dad figure in the context of the world he lived in.

I could watch a whole mini series on Silco and Jinx. Through the years and watching the parent-child relationship develop.
