I have a new discord server

I know I've made a post about a server before, however I ended up deleting it due to no activity, and some hateful assholes, but I have a new one, https://discord.gg/saPS8UBUrC, its a community server, its small as of this post, just me and like 3 other people, but I'm hoping it will grow, we are also accepting mod aplications (there's info on how to apply in the rules channel) same with admin, its obviously 13+, as per discord tos, friendly for everyone. Its based around Helluba boss, and HAzbin Hotel, but is not strictly a Hellvua-verse server, hope to see you there.

I fiished reading what Wren has written so far, and i have absolutly NO critiscim, this fic is amazing, yalls ned to read it if your a Supernatural fan, it is realtivly the same, with the addition of a sister, Millie, i read this, and absolutly loved it, @wrenwinchester has one of the best fics i have read, and ive read quite a few fics, check this out, and head over to Wren's page, and show them some love and surrport

Not to beat a dead horse, but, as Lily stated, Zeus was/is incredibly misognistic, as most of the women who had his kids didnt want to, Again, this is Ancient greece, they wernt like "WOMEN CAN HAVE POWER! YAY" no they thought of women as property, as stated by Lily, Jay's portarayl of Zeus is as close to the og story as he could write in my opianan, a well writenn a-hole isnt on the author/writer, again, as stated by Lily, this isnt some kid's story, this is greek mythoolgy, its dark, its brutal, soem peaple were down right A-holes, thats not one Jay, its on the og author of the Odessy/The Gods for having a twisted perspective,

Some of you asked me to explain my post about misogyny in the musical so I will, but first I'll say:

🙏I'm not cancelling J.R.H. nor judging him as a human being, the musical is still awesome and we can still enjoy it🙏

Epic! is a great adaptation made with a lot of sensitivity, it has us all singing along and the feels are powerful 🔥. I don't mean to sour your experience even before it's been fully released.

Also I didn't mean big, patent misogyny and it's gonna get a little knit picky.

So.

- The graphic descriptions of s.a. when s.a. wasn't actually necessary in the first place. Zeus didn't need to compare pride to a damsel in distress and the detailed scenario of him capturing and subduing her. Damn Zeus!

The suitors weren't planning on R Penelope in the Odyssey and it would actually damage their political pursuits so there is no point in adding it to the suitors' plan in the musical, just to make them more vile.

When a man is R in a show (the penetration kind), it's an extremely sensitive issue and using it to make a point would be considered in bad taste. But for women it doesn't matter, depict them struggling and wailing and it's still good entertainment. Sorry, I think it's cheap.

- "Come inside" "damn!"- this is a highschool level double meaning that boys would joke with to sexualize girls for basically existing. Circe is (supposedly) being polite and you're like "words 🥵🤤"

I don't think the guys would find it exactly as funny if I made a point of sexualizing Odysseus when he shouted "I need all the hands on his club".

- "I'm just a man" to justify having an affair with Circe. Wasn't this a struggle for power and survival from both parts? Or is this plain attraction? What did I miss? If you'll reduce your predicament to "I'm just a man", the obvious answer is "no, you're making a choice". Well this one is a little more sexism than misogyny.

- The "Athena is a loner and needs to change" arc? I'm not sure about this one, I think Jay just failed to set it properly. Both learning to be friendly, and just being bossy and aloof are valid choices. She's a goddess, she's supposed to think of you like a hamster. It somehow feels that if Athena was a male Odysseus' criticism would fall flat. But I could be wrong.

Again, I'm not saying Epic! it's the only musical guilty of misogynistic ideas and it's certainly not the worst case. When I made my original post I just wanted to know if there's other people making the same reading as me.

I will say, that male writers should realize when their main target audience will be young women and try and write a little more for them and not just for guys.

Today I introduced my sister to “the problem of Susan” and I had to explain to her that Susan was left out of Narnia cuz she liked boys and lipstick now and without missing a beat she said but what about Peter? Does Peter not like girls? And I knew she was pointing out the inherent misogyny at the center of the “the problem of Susan” but the implications of that question are a source of much hilarity to meeee LMFAO like Does Peter not like girls? Does he like boys? Is he Gay? Is Narnia really just a homo-utopia where Lucy is also a lesbian and Edmund is a bisexual disaster and Susan was kicked out cuz she was too straight??? My teacher asked me to define the term Hero, this was my answer

Defining a Hero is difficult, as a hero can be different in different lenses, one person's hero may be another's villain, typically the hero is the one who slays the "monster" and gets the girl, or saves the princess, but in the eyes of the "monster" the "hero" may be the villain, therefore, it is too hard to put a definition to the term, one example could be Tony Stark, most view him as a hero, however, before he became Iron Man, he made weapons of mass destruction, so many might have viewed him as a villain
