Tonight I went to the Clippers vs Lakers game. This is the last of the Hallway Series before the Clips move into the Intuit Dome next season. It was a great game! The Clippers were up pretty much the entire game and had a 21 point lead going into the 4th quarter, but LeBron James led the comeback and the Lakers won 116-112.
It's great to see Commissioned get their flowers & props while they're alive, particularly Mitchell Jones & Karl Reid, the last two original members still in the group! I grew up with their music and know the Fred Hammond-era catalog by heart! The first two concerts I ever remember attending were to see them! Their influence on the 90s R&B groups and solo singers that we all know and love is immense! IYKYK! 🙌🏽🔊
Saw a screening of "May The Lord Watch", the @LittleBrotherNC documentary. It's amazing! If you're a fan of LB, a fan of Hip-Hop and a fan of great storytelling you will love it! Can't wait for the masses to see it! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
50 years ago, Herbie Hancock's Headhunters album released. One of the most incredible, iconic albums of all time. Chameleon, the opening track, clocking in at just under 16 minutes, is ultimate funk. Herbie's solo bridges the gap between music and sound design, and he's one of the only people who is undeniably a master of synth improv. Listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqomTAiRnVM
I've been wanting to visit Joshua Tree National Park for quite some time now. Glad I finally got to do it this past Saturday, thanks to Walk Good LA. We walked the Barker Dam trail. Good times & good vibes!
