Looking back I smile at the anxiety and stress I’d faced back then. A silent “you thought you wouldn’t outlive that one disappointment or rejection but did, didn’t you?”.

And it’s times like these that makes me introspect a little; think about why I’m fretting over insignificant matters that might seem like the end of the world, but soon turns trivial in a week or so.

It’s not like I can just stop worrying; no, it’ll take time. But I feel content holding onto that one sliver of hope that tells me- I’ve got what it takes to turn my life for the better.

I’ve a math test to study for for tomorrow but I spent the whole day doing this instead😭. I started at 10 am hoping to finish this by 11am bUT GOOD LORD I JUST *HAD* TO TRY MOVING A LAYER THAT I WORKED ON FOR *TWO WHOLE HOURS* (ok maybe not 2 but u get the point) TO AN ANOTHER CANVAS AND THEREBY DELETING IT DUYTTUIOHFSSRFGHHHHJIU (forgive me for the lack of grammar). I couldn’t undo it either 😭😭

It is what it is lol. Saying this is my first time trying digital art would be a lie so this is my first time “completing” a digital art lol.

when i’m depressed, i tend to forget things. like the times i hugged someone and they hugged back tighter, the times i couldn’t stop laughing and smiling from ear to ear. the thoughtful compliments i received, the genuine looks of surprise and joy i helped put on someone’s face, and the days where nothing important really happened, but i felt happy. but forgetting these things doesn’t mean they never happened. they existed once, and they’re proof that even though i haven’t felt myself for a while, some days in my life can be pretty nice, and there will be more days like that in the future.
