Shout out to fictives who feel uncomfortable and exposed by the fact that their sources exist as public media that anybody gets to see. The fact that anyone can just pull it up and see all of your history and traumas and mistakes, without your say or even knowledge. The fictives who don't even feel they're allowed to be upset about it because it's "just fiction" and therefore doesn't matter. Who feel like less than "real people" because of it.

Horrible news, you do actually have to tell people you’re fronting if you want them to know you’re fronting

One thing about having oc fictives is that it makes sharing writing for your ocs ten times more awkward
#like sure this is writing we have put a lot of work into and actually like but also the main character is also a guy that you’ve met#(or could meet but it’s mostly weird with the people that know him)#especially when said fictive has a lot of source memories and is pretty connected to said memories#because like yeah this is a piece of writing we’d like to share but also doing so gives you a glimpse into my soul or whatever#terrifying#(there’s also the general ‘we made this oc to be cool and are worried that’ll make it cringe’)#but it also makes posting things about the other ocs from this universe a bit awkward because the one we typically avoid talking about is so#intertwined with their stories that it’s hard to get around that in some parts#it’s definitely easier when they’re adults but as academy students he’s their fucking teacher/advisor#(look idk what’s going on with the time lord academy okay im being real handwavy about the details here)#there’s also like oc x canon stuff that is very similar to in system relationships (in terms of who the people are) which makes it feel even#more awkward#anyway#system#fictive#did#osdd#pdid
