One evening, looking for some artefact from Lockwood’s parents in the clutter she shares the attic with, Lucy finds a battered old suitcase containing lots of Lockwood’s childhood toys. There's toy cars and action figures from the Fittes Agents Saturday morning cartoon. She takes it down to show Lockwood and casually mentions how she always really wanted some of the action figures as a kid but her mum never brought her any and how she used to stand outside the toy shop for hours, staring up at the toy Fittes Base they had on display in the window.
And a week later, Lucy returns home to find Lockwood and George have bought her a Fittes Base toy with all the figures that Lockwood didn’t have and they spend hours playing around with it. And even after the novelty has worn off, Lucy finds herself and the boys moving the figures around inside the base (George keeps putting them in inappropriate poses and Lockwood and Lucy keep setting them out in scenes from their favourite episodes of the cartoon)

Thinking about an AU where Kipps manages to get his hands on the bone glass at Winkman’s auction but Lockwood and Lucy send word to George and Flo who concoct a scheme in which Flo, notorious relic woman, pretends she has abducted the three members of Lockwood and Co from the Winkman’s party and that she will kill them if Kipps doesn't hand over the bone glass to her instead of giving it to Fittes.

Also, this plays out:
Bobby: *rushing into the room, holding a bag of marbles and dragging little Lockwood* Kipps, we have a problem. We gave Lockwood 35 marbles and now he only has 23.
Kipps: There’s a joke in there somewhere.
Bobby: This is serious! What if he ate them?
Kipps: Anthony, did you eat the marbles?
Lockwood: *shrugs*
Kipps: We should call Barnes. Wait. All the blue ones are missing. Tony, did you give Lucy all the blue marbles?
Lockwood: *nods* They’re her favourites.
When Lockwood and Co get de-aged, Barnes gives them to Kipps and his crew to care for and Kipps pretty quickly realises you can get little Lockwood to do pretty much anything if you offer him something you are pretending to be valuable. Like he needs Lockwood to brush his teeth so he starts talking about how cool this pen he found in his pocket is and then tells Lockwood to go and brush his teeth and Lockwood is like 'I will brush my teeth if you give me the super cool pen' and Kipps agrees. Only Kipps realises he never sees the stuff he gives Lockwood again so he starts following Lockwood around because he is running out of pocket junk to give the little boy only to find out that every super cool thing Lockwood earns is given straight to little Lucy.

Lucy: Hey, Kipps, what are you up to?
Kipps: Waiting for Lockwood to say something that will get those Rotwell lads to beat him up.
Lucy: You know you have to stop them if they do start beating him up.
Kipps: What? I can't just watch?
George: Yeah. I included it in your employment contract because I knew you would do this. But its only I your contract, so me and Lucy get to watch.

Lockwood and Flo made a deal that if they weren’t married at 30 (and were still alive), they would get married. You know they did.

Oh goodness, I love it!! Such a cool idea!!
I want a series where it starts with a classic Robin Hood origin story. But then halfway through book two some old geezer shoves a baby at Maid Marian, and she gets attached. Standard hijinks ensue, the baby gets captured, the baby gets lost, someone kidnaps the baby 'for its own good' and they have to convince these people that despite being outlaws they can totally be respectable parents.
Then five books later, the kid, who they named Arthur, is fifteen and he pulls some magic sword out of a rock.
Now you've got a teenage king who was raised by a bunch of backroad outlaws. And no way are those outlaw parents, (and uncles/brothers) going to let their precious child bear the burden of the throne alone.

Barnes: And you, Lockwood, will not be leaving until every piece of this paperwork is filled in.
Lockwood: That’s okay. I brought an overnight bag.

Lockwood and Lucy swapping abilities would not go well because Lucy is constantly staring at Lockwood and not ghosts and Lockwood has audio processing issues.

With Lockwood making an increasing number about how he is one of the poor common folk like George and Lucy, George creates a large scroll of the Lockwood family tree and unrolls it every time to tell Lockwood the history of one of his ancestors. Lockwood actually rather likes it because he likes the look on Lucy’s face as she is told about Lord Lockwood or how Lockwood’s great-times-a-dozen grandmother might have secretly been sleeping with the reigning monarch at one time.

At awards ceremony post Problem... Reporter: George Karim, you don't normally make an experience at these things. George: I'm only here to sabotage Lockwood's turn with the Glambot. Now if you will excuse me.
