You know they’ve addressed that last argument before, right?

If they wanted to make the more popular one win, they would, but if they don’t think they do, they don’t.

I remember they brought this up for Power Rangers vs Voltron. Power Rangers is more popular than Voltron apparently, probably would have had a bigger reaction if they won because they’re more popular, but they though Voltron won, so Voltron won

But also, this isn’t JUST a death battle thing, it’s a vs thing in general, but it was ALWAYS baked in pseudo science. People in powerscaling communities are not scientists, we’re smell internet people appreciating cool characters. We create rough estimates for powers and speed because it’s the best thing we can do. Kratos being like 9 million universal whatever strong is ridiculous by real world standards, but so is Asura breaking that statue, and Goku and Superman being placed at similar levels

Not trying to hate or anything, just pointing things out, this community gets a lot of backlash that’s most of the time completely undeserved

Okay, so Death Battle's "research" has just become them seeing how much psycho-babble and pseudo-science they say until their audience gets sick of it.

I mean, it already WAS, but jeez.

That is absolutely nonsensical, and only the most brain-rotted powerscalers in desperate need to touch grass would even think otherwise.

The fact they then try to claim, "We totally care about Asura's Wrath, plz make a new game, Capcom!" (Even though Asura's narrative is finished and has no need for a sequel) while at the same time being so hung up on the fact the game is old and didn't sell great; shows just how vapid, empty, and superficial Death Battle as a whole and the people behind it actually are.

"How could this guy from a game that didn't sell more than 100k copies beat THE god of war? The one that's one of the most recognizable game characters ever!"

It would have been better to just not say anything at all.
