Does Lily know how fictions work?
No. She doesn't even know how BASIC STORY TELLING works. Like I really don't like calling someone media illiterate just because they had a bad take on a thing I like but it's amazing how Lily ALWAYS gets shit wrong in the things she talks about, EVEN THE SHOW'S SHE LIKES.
Lily's critiques do not help anyone. She doesn't want stories to be good. She wants stories to only meet her specific personal preferences and any story that doesn't do that she'll label as "bad".
The problem with Lily as a critic is that her critiques are based on a mixture of pure bias and labeling stories that use specific tropes that don't meet her specific preferences as "bad", regardless of how the stories execute these tropes, or just having very little understanding of how writing works and the media she's critiquing.
If you're an aspiring writer; DO NOT bother with Lily Orchard. She's a shitty critic and a shittier person, and she should be the last person you go to for any type of writing advice (if her 101 writing tips she posted on twitter long ago is any indication of that...).
