Hear me out, I think I've found my definitive Potter family fancast. Yes I still love Milo as James but there are so few clips of him and he's almost impossible to edit. These three are just perfect, to me.

Severus becoming a teacher on September of 1981 - Lockhart is in his 7th year.

The new students are weary of the dungeon bat and Lockhart just going "this goth potions nerd? I remember when *yada yada talk about his humiliation in the worst memory with how the rumors described it*"

Needless to say when Severus found out he made Lockhart's last year a living hell.

Needless to say Severus was very close to off Dumbledore when he gave Lockhart the DADA position.

Snape Gang Fanfiction

Ok I've decided, I'll start publishing a fanfiction about the Marauders Era but which focuses on the Snape Gang. (there will also be parts with the marauders of course, a multi pov)

I really want there to be a fair story, showing the real classism of that period and the bullying of the Marauders towards Snape and other students. Let's put it this way, this is my way of fighting ATYD.

My headcanon Caradoc doesn't like his first name, he prefers his middle name and almost everyone uses that, Byron.

His full name is in fact Caradoc Byron White, but after the death of his mother he tried to acquire the woman's surname. Pureblood traditions did not allow him to do so. Within the Order of the Phoenix he also uses his first name and his mother's surname as a further cover, becoming Caradoc Dearborn.

Caradoc Dearborn has always been very protective of Severus. Unlike other future Death Eaters, Snape was not a pureblood convinced of purist ideals, he was just a scared boy who wanted to belong to something and was looking for protection.

Even though Caradoc did not believe in purist classism, he joined the so-called Snape Gang to stay close to his friend and protect him. With the start of the war everything became more complicated. Caradoc joined the Order of the Phoenix, while many of his closest friends became Death Eaters.

Here to remember that Evan Rosier was part of the Snape Gang canonically.

According to Sirius Black, he was part of a group of Slytherins and aspiring Death Eaters which included Severus Snape, as well as Wilkes, Avery and Mulciber.

it is much more likely that he was part of his group than that of Regulus who was a year younger than Severus. So the gang needs to be updated:

The fact that your fancast for Caradoc Dearborn is Aaron is such a personal thing to me. Silently this is also a slap (absolutely deserved) to James Potter. That bully doesn't deserve Aaron's face. I wait for the day when your fanfiction and fancast becomes popular

Wow thanks so much. For me Caradoc/Byron has always been Aaron, ever since the fanficiton was just an idea. when I saw that he was becoming the fancast for James I turned up my nose. The edits made with him and the Maladnrini are wonderful, really, but for me he will always be Byron. Although I must admit that I'm also doing some testing with Daniel Sharman. Let's say that as a "second choice" it's not bad.

Hey hello, yes you absolutely got my point. The saga is full of complex and interesting characters and it's nice to be able to delve into them without falling into the banal "good and bad" division. Many people think like us, but they often avoid exposing themselves to avoid being attacked by more "excited" fans who tend to create battles and divisions in the fandom.
