Ya wanna know what I just realized? The overall theme of scarlet and violet isn't actually about our treasure hunt, or making friends along the way,

It's obsession.(and how it hurts those around us.)

In the base game of pokemon scarlet and violet, we learn that the professor,(sada or turo depending on which version you play.) was absolutely obsessed with the paradox pokemon within the scarlet/violet book. They were so obsessed with these pokemon that they wanted, NEEDED to make them a reality by bringing them into our own. Their obsession was so bad, that they not only lost their significant other, but neglected their son to the point of completely abandoning him, all for the purpose of "paradise". Not realizing they already had one with their son.

The obsession has been with the professor since their childhood. As seen in the secret cutscene at kitakami's crystal pool with terapagos in your party, it brings the professor from iirc 10 years before the events of the game start. When they ask to trade for the book ms. Brair wrote they offer their copy of the s/v book and tell you "this book captured my imagination as a child and never let go." They were obsessed. It costed them their life, completely ruined arvens childhood, and almost caused the destruction of the Paldea region because they were too obsessed with having pokemon of the past/future along side them.

Then we go to kitakami, and meet Kieran. A boy who is obsessed with the ogre, a.k.a ogerpon. Kieran believes the two as kindred spirits, outcasts in kitakami because they were different. Though rightly upset at you and his sister for not telling him about meeting ogerpon, takes it too far when he steals the mask from his grandfather. As a result of winning the battle to get the mask back from him his obsession shifts, not really about befriending ogerpon anymore, but about beating you/being as good as you are. He becomes mean and ruthless to those around him in blueberry academy, becoming champion in order to try to be strong enough to beat you.

In the underdepths of area zero his obsession with beating you causes him to seek out terapagos, and catch it so that he can finally beat you.

And finally ms. Briar, obsessed with terapagos and proving it was real. Her ancestor, the original author of the s/v book, heath, was claimed and told to be nothing more than a liar after writing what he had found in area zero. Briar was obsessed, determined to prove terapagos' existence to clear her ancestors name, and that everything in the s/v book was in fact real. In kitakami she was more concerned with figuring out the terastal phenomenon than helping to guide the students from the 2 schools on their field trip.

And once in blueberry, she asks you, carmine and Kieran to join her in area zero to find terapagos. Once in the underdepths she puts herself in danger because of a strangely terastalized glimmora, of which you battle to protect her and the siblings. In the final chamber of the underdepths, she eggs on Kieran to take terapagos(in crystal form) out of the tera crystals around it to finally see the pokemon she's been trying to get to for so long, and then tells him to terastalize the pokemon, putting everyone in danger. As the amount of Tera energy is too much for the little pokemon to control, and thus it goes out of control, destroying the environment around it, nearly causing a cave in.

Ms. Briars obsession with finding terapagos nearly caused the group to get killed because she was so obsessed with finding terapagos. Obsessed with proving that heath was telling the truth all this time.

Pokemon scarlet and violet showed that obsession can hurt and harm those around you. That an obsession like sada/turo, Kieran and ms Briars', will cause the pain of others and themselves in order to reach their goal.

I'm back with another ninjago au babes let's fucking go

I've decided to call this au the prince of darkness :)

Alright, so this takes place after s4. The ninja wary of Kai after his 'betrayal' and what he did while under the unfluence of the staff of elements, kick him off of the team and abandon him somewhere in ninjago city.

Unfortunately for future them, where they abandoned Kai at just so happened to have a recently hatched baby of the great devourer. And it ends up biting kai. Thus as a result history begins to repeat itself. :)

Even worse for kai(like the bs he's gone through wasn't already bad enough for him-) wasn't a legal adult as of yet, being just 16 at the time, was found out to no longer be with the ninja and thus no legal guardian since he wasn't 18 just yet, was placed in a temporary home to be adopted. And adopted he was. By the emperor and empress of ninjago.

Now, him being adopted by the 2 wasn't a coincidence. It was all planned out by harumi. :)

Thanks to her connections and her newly formed biker gang, the sons of garmadon, she was able to find out about his role in helping to stop the great devourer(finding the weak spot, creating/the idea for the ultra sonic raider, ect.), what happened with the ninja, and most importantly, that he got bit by the baby of the evil snake. So much like garmadon, she definitely admired him a lot more when she found out. And her hatred for the other ninja grew and festered even more.

And eventually after some time of Kai being there she reveals that she knows everything that happened to him. And convinces/influences him into succumbing into the darkness in him to make the ninja pay for what they did to him/them both.

So harumi gets an evil brother. :)

Some other bits of info I think are neat:

When Kai starts developing white hair from the venom the emperor and empress just assume he was very stressed from what had happened in the home he was in before they found him/whatever happened with the ninja and give him lots of space to get comfortable and adjust to his new life(which is the complete opposite of what you 2 should be doing for these traumatized kids get them some GODDAMN THERAPY.)

Eventually some spots of his skin turn black from the venom like garmadons' did,(think like vitiligo) and thanks to all the good quality make up in the palace they were able to hide him slowly turning more oni till the grand reveal >:)

They were also able to pass the glowing eyes as a part of kais elemental power(since I like to hc that kais eyes are naturally red.)

Harumi definitely rubs Kai being HER big brother in Lloyd and nyas faces after what happened to him is revealed along with them being a part of the sog(so when they steal the bounty/have Lloyd put in a cage for the ritual)

I'd like to think sometime after garmadon was cured that he ended up legally adopting Kai and nya as his kids, especially since they were already like siblings to Lloyd. So the newly revived lord garmadon gets his eldest son back and is evil like him! And gets a new evil daughter! The evilest family to exist!

Idk what I could do for Crystalized. I haven't thought that far a head lmao

OK yall let's settle this argument.

I personally believe it's a mix of both. It was originally no doubt the afton burns ending imo; since in the files its called: 'true ending' but from what I and a bunch of others think steel wool changed what the 'Canon' ending of sb was when ruin came out. And I don't think it was JUST pq and believe it's a mix because as someone has said on here, somewhere in the old location down there, are scratches that are supposedly from the mimic trying to get Gregory. And not only that but a glam Freddy bag, and obviously the walkie talkie that the mimic had are with out a doubt, gregorys.

How would Gregory have lost his stuff and had the mimic trying to go after him down there if he escaped/ left the plex immediately after freeing Vanessa if it was only the pq ending that was Canon? And another theory I personally believe is that Gregory didn't have to play the princess quest games to free vanessa. In sb we can play 2 of the princess quest games; and obviously the 3rd one if we wish to unlock the ending where she's freed. But hear me out, in ruin we see one of the pq games, now I'm not sure which one it is since I don't remember if they're numbered. But when you put the mask on it has the sword sticking out of it, so it has to either be the very last one or the 2nd one you play out of the 3.

I believe it was the 3rd one. And that during the destruction of the pizza plex, the game got destroyed, thus as a result destroying the last hold, that last string that afton/the mimics had that let them control vanessa, broke and she was freed. How do we know this is even possible? That the destruction of the game freed her? Well, we don't. It could be possible, or it might not be. We'll probably never really know. It's only a theory after all.

A GAME THEORY /j

I believe after the afton burns ending and the building Gregory and Freddy escaped, that the 3rd pq game was destroyed.(with Gregory having played the first 2,) And thus as a result vanessa was freed. And eventually after a while the 3 of them find each other with nessa explaining everything to them(while Gregory is obviously untrusting at first.) And eventually they become close, and to make sure the mimic never gets out again, creates m.x.e.s to keep it trapped down there for good. Until well, Cassie unfortunately comes along, being tricked by the mimic.

I'm curious on your guys' thoughts tho. Definitely tell me what yall think the Canon ending of security breach is.
