Dead Boy Detectives characters but as things my friends and I have said:

hey. why wasn't there a vampire episode in dead boy detectives. and why didn't they give crystal the ability to have premonitions like a visionary in final destination. both would be equally as rad as the other.

I know it's been mentioned before but I really will never get over the boys and their disguises.

and both killed at 16, presenting as old people

I’m sure someone has made this post before and I’m not the best at explaining it but Luke and Leia parallel their parents if they had been in the opposite position

Luke has a way with words, he turns people from the dark to the light. People will follow him even if they just met him. In this way he is so much like Padme who could convince people within the senate to follow and rally with her. But Luke was a Jedi, not a senator. He parallels Padme if she had been a Jedi instead of a senator

Leia is so much like her father. They both have fiery passions and are impulsive. They shoot first and ask questions later in a lot of situations. Their ambitions are there driving motivations. But Leia was raised within the framework of diplomacy especially being raised by Bail Organa. He actively tried to dissuade her from acting on her impulses, making her think things true while still fostering her ambitions. He guided her while Anakin was a slave and then taken from his mother. Obi Wan did what he could but was still a young man. He didn’t have the life experience to guide Anakin the way Bail guided Leia.

That’s part of what makes the story so compelling. None of it had to happen. If Anakin had been allowed to foster learning or had been able to be a mechanic and pilot as we see him do throughout the prequels or he had been a crechemaster and learn to give up his attachments to the younglings (his greatest weakness—his attachment which stems from his mother but that’s a different post) the story wouldn’t have happened.

That’s why Luke was the one to finally free Anakin from the dark side. Anakin saw Padme in Luke and he couldn’t lose her again. The one person who he loved and felt loved by, so much of her was in front of him with Like and he was forced to confront it.
