Some More Soft Yasammy Headcanons 

Yaz loves lying on top of Sammy when they cuddle. The feeling of Sammy's fingers combing through her hair and one arm slung protectively around her waist? Amazing. Combine that with the sound of Sammy's heartbeat lulling her into a light sleep and Yaz absolutely melts.

When the girls feel overwhelmed and lost in her memories of Isla Nublar, they'll stop what they're doing and just hold each other. Yaz will rub soothing circles on Sammy's scars from the Scorpios Rex attack and Sammy will kiss every inch of Yaz's face until they both feel safe and secure again.

Sammy once stumbled upon one of Yaz's old sketchbooks and found several drawings of herself in it. When she brought it up to her girlfriend, Sammy shyly said, "You made me look so pretty." To which Yaz replied, "You are so beautiful, I could never do you justice."

Yaz casually mentioned that she was running out of good songs to listen to while she runs, so Sammy spent hours making the perfect playlist for her girlfriend. Not only does Yaz listen to it every time she works out, but she'll have the biggest lovesick grin on her face as she listens to it.

Sammy is notorious when it comes to falling asleep on the couch. The girls could be watching a movie or having an Esther Stone marathon and it won't take long for Sammy to fall asleep on Yaz's shoulder or in her arms. Yaz finds it incredibly cute and will usher her sleepy Sammy to their bedroom for a good night's sleep.

These two will never shut up over the fact that they're dating. Like they will take any opportunity that is given to them to mention that they're girlfriends.

Sammy: "Have you met my amazing girlfriend, Yaz? Hold on one moment while I tell you all about my super talented and insanely pretty girlfriend—"

Yaz: "You see that stunning girl over there? The one who looks like the physical embodiment of sunshine? That's Sammy. My girlfriend."

Sometimes Yaz will pretend that she can't open jars and will hand them to Sammy just to see her open them with ease then immediately turn to brag and flex her arms. Does Yaz do this because she loves Sammy's smile? Yes. Does she also do this because she's obsessed with Sammy's country strong muscles? YES.

Sammy makes amazing hot chocolates. When the weather gets cooler or the girls have a late night sugar craving, Sammy will head to their kitchen to whip up some hot chocolate. All the while Yaz will be hugging her from behind and watching her girlfriend work her magic. (And if Yaz manages to sneak a few marshmallows, that's her business.)

These girls melt when they kiss. Like when their lips caress they'll feel warm all over and full of giddy excitement. They'll find any excuse under the sun to kiss each other and show how much they mean to each other.

When Yaz wraps her arms around Sammy's waist and pulls her in close for a tender kiss? Sammy is a goner. When Sammy traces the bottom of Yaz's lips with her fingers before gently tipping her chin up so she can lock their lips together? It's a TKO for Yaz.

At the end of the day, Yaz and Sammy are each other's favorite person. And despite the insane, dino-related circumstances that brought them together, they couldn't imagine their lives without each other in it. 🧡💜

Ok, even MORE MORE Yasammy headcanons. This one's gonna be a little more lighthearted, but I'm happy everyone is enjoying my more "mature" headcanons, I do have some more ideas for the future, but for this one I'm just gonna jot some things down and you guys can tell me your favorites or what you want more of.

*Yaz was initially hesitant about living in Texas, with the heat, the humidity, the creepy crawly little animals, (scorpions, tarantulas, etc...). But when she told that to Sammy, and Sammy immediately was prepared to move somewhere else with her, Yaz decided to stay.

* Sammy's favorite game is checker's (I'm referring to the actual game, not when the two of them "play checkers", tho she enjoys that as well. Look at my other headcanons if you're confused).

*For their anniversary, Yaz got Sammy a Rottweiler puppy that a shelter had found in a box in the rain. Sammy must have kissed Yaz 46 times she was so excited.

*On the farm they raise animals and vegetables mostly for food for themselves as well as to sell at markets and restaurants. But they always donate to the food bank as well.

*They both took the same knitting class online without the other knowing so they could make Christmas gifts for each other. Sammy made Yaz a sweater with a smiley face, and Yaz made Sammy some mittens with cows on them.

*Yaz is afraid of water, after her whole thing about almost drowning when the scorpius chased her (and almost drowning in Ben's van). So Sammy got her a rubber duck floaty, like those things that go around your waste in the water, but as a rubber duck. Sammy didn't think Yaz would actually wear it, it was supposed to be a joke, but Yaz wears it proudly every time she goes swimming even after she gets over her fear of water.

Ok, even MORE Yasammy headcanons, because why not. (WARNING: This post is going to contain a little bit more....mature headcanons, nothing super bad just.... implied. Now having said that, I'm hoping we can all have a good laugh and be mature, if this is something people don't like, I'll only do the very mild ones from now on, but if people enjoy these, then I'll continue making them, I hope you enjoy and let me know if you want more.)

*Yaz and Sammy go to the farmers market every weekend during the summer to sell eggs, meat, and vegetables. It's one of there favorite things to do together.

*Yaz likes to ride dirt bikes and takes a boxing class, while Sammy is more mild manored and is part of a photography group and paints.

*For her birthday Yaz bought Sammy a pickup truck she had been wanting forever and she got hugged so hard she had bruises.

*Sammy enjoys nature documentaries, and Yaz likes horror films.

WARNING, The next headcanon is the "explicit" one I mentioned earlier, it's not too bad, but if you don't want to read it, this is your warning to turn away. Oh, and obviously these headcanons and ALL the headcanons I write apply to CT and after, so they are 18 plus, just wanted to make that clear 🙂. *Once a week Sammy and Yaz......"play checkers". Something they both agreed to and found enjoyable. One time when Brooklyn had come to stay at the ranch with them for a visit/in-between stories for her blog she was making, and she had gotten up in the middle of the night for a drink of water. She grabbed a cup, turned the faucet, and no water came out. She didn't want to bother Sammy or Yaz that late at night, but saw their light was on underneath the door to their bedroom. She knocked on the door, but nobody answered. Brooklyn called out and heard one of them make a noise, and worried that something was wrong she opened the door.......to Yaz and Sammy....."playing checkers". Brooklyn didn't drink water for a month and Yaz and Sammy got a lock for their door.

Dude for real, when it comes to Sammy, Yaz's logic goes completely out the window. like Yaz ran into a sandstorm cuz Sammy got caught in it. plus, when that big metal door closed when Brooklyn was testing them, Yaz tried to open it with her bare hands, like girl that ain't gonna work but go off i guess haha

No because Yaz as a character is so funny to me, she's such a bi disaster since Camp Cretacious. Two of her friends nearly drowned and she got distracted having her bi awakening while watching Sammy deal with a Sino. She was so distraught at finding out Sammy had taken the phone that she crashed a van. She was pissed off at her but still provoked a goddamn Mososaurus so Sammy would get to safety before being damn wtf do I do now. She literally ran like crazy to a lab, moved a whole ass tree alone, jumped across a river twice and yelled at a dinosaur because Sammy had been poisoned. Sammy could literally just sleep and snore and Yaz would watch her and just smile and sigh dreamily (girl seriously?). She (an elite athlete) kept staying behind just to be with Sammy (not an elite athlete) even with the risk of being eaten by dinosaurs. She would say stuff like "I think you're the reason I have feelings" in front of Brooklynn's salad like I don't know how she could stand them. Ben had to drag her away rolling his eyes when she and Sammy got jokingly dramatic when they were separating for an hour. She confessed to Sammy with a goddamn Nothasaurus right with them and Ben listening. She was always down bad and she only got worse with the years like girl you almost nearly drowned, can you stop making out with Sammy in front of Ben. And she would have made out with her in the middle of the final fight with raptors after them if it weren't because Big Eatie showed up like lmao not the fucking time.

I'm bored so rating 4/6 of the Camp Fam for how good their gaydar /j was aka how aware they were of Yaz and Sammy having a thing for each other before they got together (lmao)

Darius: This boy is an angel and very supportive once he found out, but he was too busy leading the group to bother noticing these things and he himself said he had no idea so 1/10. I give him the 1 because he's a sweetheart.

Ben: He was the first person Yaz came out to, and he was extremely supportive, and in Chaos Theory he is still like, extremely supportive of them (he'd take their breakup worse than they would). However, my boy was very oblivious before Yaz told him, to the point that at first he thought Yaz had a crush on him and then it took him a few seconds to process Yaz was talking about her and Sammy when she told him, so, love him but 3/10.

Kenji: When Sammy and Yaz told him they were together, his reaction was being thrilled about it, laughing and hugging them while saying "finally!" so unlike Darius and Ben, this boy had actually noticed before they told him. I like to think he and Brooklynn talked about them sometimes. He gets 8/10.

Brooklynn: She has gay dads so obviously her gaydar is on point /j. When she saw them kissing her reaction was screaming and saying they were finally official, so that speaks for itself. Also these are all from previous seasons lmao.

So of course she noticed, the girl was always in the middle lmao. 100/10, if Yaz had told her instead of Ben that she thought she had a crush on Sammy, Brooklynn would have been like "thank god you noticed"

JWCT PROMPT COUNTDOWN

There's not enough words to express how much I love Yasammy. They are by far my favorite ship ever and not a day goes by that I don't think about them two. Sapphic relationships are so scarce in media, especially in children's/younger media so I enjoy every one but these two just have a special place in my heart. I saw my cousins watching some of season 1 one day and I just knew that they had chemistry/were going to get together and that's when I knew I had to watch the show. For the fanfic I'm writing, I only have the moments where they don't know each other and when they're fighting but I don't want that to be my Yasammy post. What else I do have is much deeper into the story and I don't want to reveal that much just yet so I wrote this new little scene between them. It's not at all finished but I wanted it to be on time so I'll probably post the full version somewhere in the near future.

Sammy’s heart is racing outside of the airport baggage claim more than it ever has on Isla Nublar. At any moment, Yaz would walk out of those doors and it’ll be Sammy’s first time seeing her in person in a year. They’ve both been busy with school and family so meeting up was virtually impossible. Sure, they’ve texted, called, and facetimed—the holy trinity in long-distance relationships—but for Sammy, who loves to hug, kiss, and touch, it wasn’t enough. 

So when Yaz walks out the shriek that Sammy lets out is loud. “Yaz! Over here!”

It’s impossible to miss Sammy’s voice and when Yasmina turns her head, brown hair swinging, her face breaks into a grin at the sight of Sammy standing there waiting for her. Seeing Yaz there smiling makes Sammy smile and soon enough she’s running over to Yaz and engulfing her in a hug. 

The impact almost knocks Yaz off her feet but still she’s grinning, hugging Sammy back and pressing her face into the crook of her neck. She inhales and the scent of cinnamon fills her nose. “I missed you so much,” Yaz whispers. 

They stand like that for a while but when they pull away it feels like a moment cut too short. Sammy wipes her eyes which have gone a little wet until Yaz cups Sammy’s face in her soft hands and swipes the tears away for her. 

Yaz then drops her hand to hold Sammy’s and asks, “Where are your parents?”

“I’m driving us,” Sammy says, swinging the keys to her family’s truck on her index finger. She got her license quite a few months ago but it took a lot of convincing to get her parents to let her drive all by herself to pick up Yaz. They’ve got something against Sammy going to the airport alone; trust issues probably from the time she ran off to Jurassic World. Not one of her proudest moments but it gave her Yaz. 

Yasmina’s mouth falls open in surprise. “No way, you actually convinced them?       

Sammy smiles. “I can be pretty persuasive. How’d you think I got you to come outta’ your shell?”
