🖤 Spell Jar for Protection 🖤
Ingredients/Equipment
Chilli Flakes (or Chilli Powder, whatever's around) - to ward off unwanted guests
Rosemary - purification, protection
Salt - absorbing negative energy, protection, purification
Black Pepper (both peppercorns and grounded) - banish negativity, protection from evil
3 Bay Leaves - protection from harmful energies
Protection Sigil or a Banish Negativity Sigil
Preferably Black Candle to seal the jar (white may be used as a substitute as I have done)
A Jar
A Funnel (trust me, if you don't use one shit will go everywhere, make and use a homemade paper funnel if you need to)
Spell Method
Cast a protective circle or do your own pre-spell rituals, whatever works for you and light the candle
Cleanse your equipment and ingredients (I use specific ritual incense but again whatever works for you, sage burning, etc)
Put the ingredients in the jar one at a time, repeating a chosen affirmation for protection with each one. The order doesn't nessicarily matter as the intent is what's most important. However, I recommend leaving the bay leaves until last
Use a marker to draw a sigil that represents protection or banishing negativity on at least one of the bay leaves. If you need to break up the leaves to fit them in the jar that's okay; again, the intention is what's most important
Close the jar and seal it with the wax from the candle

What is magic?
Well, its different for everyone.
Its control, over the physical world, yes, but more importantly, the non physical world.
Controlling emotions, luck, spiritual energy.
Its a release of what ties us to this world, of stress and anger and exhaustion. Its flying through our own minds, directly the very blood in our veins to change its flow.
Magic is inside all of us. Its raw power that we were born with, that changed and grew as we did. Some of us chose to harness that. Others chose to let it be, scared of what our own minds are capable of.
Why do I practice witchcraft?
I don't know.
Maybe the magic inside me is stronger than it should be, ripping throughout my body like fire.
Make I've always been a witch, and now I'm learning spellwork.
Maybe I'll never be a true witch, only a fool, aiming to control that which cannot be controlled.
So what is magic?
We are. We are magic. We are nature. We are power.

Tips for the Cheap Witch: Rune Stones

Really simple way to get started with runestones!
Just buy some glass beads from the dollar store (where I bought them), Walmart, Michaels,
They should be fairly large, mine are a bit larger than my thumb (and I would’ve liked a little larger), and have a flat bottom.
Then take a sharpie to em and write each rune on them!
For the best look write the runes backwards so the rounded top is facing the right way
Here are all the runes mirrored!

Once you have them all sharpied put a layer of clear nail polish top coat so they don’t rub off, and there you are!

The fact that literal medicine is growing in our backyards and they’re classified as “weeds” annoys me so fucking much.

See this “weed”?
That’s Cuban Jute and it can be used to treat:
Fevers
Digestion issues
Headaches
Boils
Pimples
Rheumatism
Toothaches
Like whole ass MEDICINE!!! And I’m supposed to just mow it down😭
How about this “weed”

Brazilian Vervain!! Fucking VERVAIN!
HORSENETTLE!!!

The fact that these are considered “weeds” upsets me to my very core.
(Yes I am aware that horsenettle is poisonous w/out the right precautions and that you can’t just EAT these plants outta the ground. The point of my post was to just point out that these plants have many medical properties that once properly identified, cleaned, and safely prepared can be used as home remedies.)

Witch Tip: Protection Spray
Witch tip: some good ingredients for protection/cleansing of your home…
Gather some white sage sticks/leaves, cinnamon, salt (I used Pink Himalayan), and some bay leaves.
Pour as much as you need into a pot of water, wait until it begins to boil.
Feel free to add, sub, or remove any of the ingredients, but this is an awesome blend.
Simmer for a bit and wait until it feels right to turn off.
Wait until the water cools some and pour into an empty spray bottle (you can get them cheap at the dollar store or stores like Target).
Note: I would recommend putting a bowl underneath the spray bottle, because this can be messy.
Enjoy and pour the rest of the remaining mixture into a container of choice. Here’s my end result!.

🖤🧡Trick or treat🧡 🖤
Turmeric Magical Associations

Element: fire
Associated with courage, passion, confidence, strength, purifying and spell-breaking.
Promotes healing from aches and pains related to inflammation and mood enhancer (disclaimer: to be used in tandem with needed medical care of course).
Death witchcraft and spirit work use: this can be added to reddening powders for a more golden stain and is good for building the relationship with the spirit of the bone.
Kitchen witch uses: curries (of course), smoothies, roasted veggies, potato dishes, rice, spice rubs for roasts, chicken, and fish. Flavoring works well with ginger and paprika!

Old Herb & Plant Names
This is done on handmade paper so some of the water colour comes through to the other side of the page which I didn't think about but it looks ok,
quick side note I've noticed a lot of my pages being saved to pinterest please don't do this as a lot of people don't even link back to me they link to their own pages, I had even saved my tumblr setting so you couldn't save my pages elsewhere but that apparently doesn't stop people, it's very disheartening as I don't make money from this and put a lot of time into writing out the pages only for someone else to get the credit, I just want to share with the witchblr community, please appreciate my wishes and don't save my posts on pinterest, I may eventually get around to making an account specifically for my grimoire pages but at the moment I do not.
