Here goes the tiny little ivory coloured egg now! It's got deep cracks now, and the squeaking has intensified... Come on little one, you've got this!

Welcome to the world Anjeju!

Little baby dragon is blue, as expected, but has a pretty yellow streak running down his/her back and over the top of his/her tail! Super cute!

Tonight I don't mind being up so late...

This bright blue egg is moving a lot faster in hatching than Emsea did! Could be any time now! And the other dragons didn't go tonight, they're all crowded around the egg watching! Such a perfect moment!

This is really good! And pretty much exactly the right size too! So cute!!

I finally got my Monoprice tablet to work on my home PC! Windows 7 reaaally hates drawing tablets.

So after a stressful day, I decided to unwind a little by doodling a quick sketch of a baby dragon in a teacup.

I think it was too much to ask that all the eggs hatch on the same day... Emsea hatched just a few hours ago, but it took her all day and all of last night... Looks like I wont be allowed much sleep tonight either, because egg  number two is starting to hatch! And egg three is showing some early signs, but I think that little baby`s still a ways off...

Emsea has been welcomed by all the others, and Aeupeg and Oethiy are now crawling around Emsea on their little pillow and cuddling her to keep her warm, it`s super cute! And Kwebo, Sehzwa and Baxylo grew so much today! I think I can try to sex them tomorrow and find out if my guesses were right on their genders!

Baby's name is Emsea!

I may have to change that if it turns out Emsea is a boy... We'll see!

Now I feel like all the noise and excitement of Emsea's hatching caused the other babies to want to hatch too! Their making lots of noises and there're a couple cracks on both eggs!

The egg hatched!! YAY!

It was a long day and I had to cancel several appointments I had, but it was so worth it to see the little nose of a newborn dragon peeking out of her shell!! She's two shades of blue and actually looks a bit like Sehzwa when she hatched, but this baby is a touch bigger!

I am so so excited to have this new little baby in my life! Now to find him or her a name!!!

Maybe the little egg isn't hatching after all... It's been a while, and the squeaks have calmed down, and no new cracks have shown up... We'll have to see how it goes through the night tonight!

I have to turn my computer off though, because I still haven't been able to get Baxylo to sleep in anything other than pitch darkness. The tiniest light in the room and she's hyper like crazy and zipping around, climbing on things, chewing on things, all that!

I'm still letting the hatchlings all sleep with me, it's like having five personal heaters! And tonight will be Aeupeg's and Oethiy's first night sleeping with us all :) Yay for them!

I think it's hatching!!

The light and dark blue dragon egg is hatching! The cracks have deepened and there are more of them...

And I can hear the hatchling squeaking every few seconds, and much louder than the other two eggs!

I left a bowl of leftover lasagna on the desk and ran to the kitchen quickly because I'd forgotten my coffee, but by the time I got back the entire thing was completely gone! What a little jerk! He had just eaten too! Kwebo, all by him(her?)self, ate almost 4 lbs of ground beef today! Plus my dinner! Considering that he's not even a foot long yet, that's a freaking lot of food!!

I mean it's my fault for leaving it out, but I didn't think he would be interested! Dragons will be dragons, I suppose!

The Eggs

So I mentioned the dragon eggs that I have yesterday, I was trying to be fun and interesting in my introduction of myself to Tumblr :) I hope it worked!

Anyways, I've been watching the eggs very closely today and I think that one of them is starting to crack slightly! I can hear little squeaks and voices inside each of the eggs! There is a light blue egg with a pattern of darker blue that looks a bit like splashes of water accross it. It was actually the first egg I ever picked up, but these other hatchlings were much faster in hatching! But this lighter blue egg is the one that's cracking!!! Yay!

I'm incubating a tiny white egg, it could easily be mistaken for a chicken egg if it wasn't for the texture! And lastly I have a bright blue egg, like a robin's egg without the speckles, and it is bigger than that. I'm really excited for these little eggs to hatch and join the world!!

If you walked into my room right now....

I'd greet you, and welcome you in, of course. And then I'd introduce you to everyone else.

There's Kwebo, that's the yellow one sunning himself (or herself, they're all too young for me to tell just yet, so I'm going by my gut for pronouns) on top of my desk. Ruining the spine of that book! It was lying open and he climbed onto it, but he looks like he's enjoying the sun too much for me to move him. I'd tell you that he's the oldest of the hatchlings.

Then there's Baxylo. She's... Somewhere... I think she was under the bed? She's exploring something at any rate, I know she'll come out when she's hungry!

Sehzwa's the blue one in the water, of course! She doesn't stay dry for long! I made her a little paradise with a doll pool set, and she's only knocked it over a couple of times. She'll outgrow that soon, though, so I'm not sure what I'll do for her then.

Now for the new babies, I'd tell you. On a pillow at the foot of my bed there are two tiny dragons, each only as big as your hand. One is a light, faded green, and the other is a strange shimmering colour, one that changes with the light. I would proudly tell you that their names are Aeupeg and Oethiy, and they're only a few hours old.

Under a heat lamp and wrapped in brightly coloured scarves are three dragon eggs. Those guys won't be ready to hatch for a while yet, I would tell you. If you were here. And I would smile at you. And tell you to watch your toes, Baxylo like to nibble, but she doesn't have many teeth yet, so it wouldn't hurt much.

An Introduction

My name is Evelyn Nystrom. I live in a normal American city (I don't really want to say where in case someone decides to stalk me). I have some... unusual... (to say the least) pets. Not the kind you can find in any petstore, that's for sure. It all started very suddenly, when I found a strange egg. It was oval, heavy, and about the size of the palm of my hand.

I had left my house is a hurry, pulled on some sweats and threw my house key in my pocket, just to go jogging. I live just across the street from this beautiful park, and it's usually really quiet early in the morning, so that's when I like to go. Anyways, this egg was just sitting there, nestled in the roots of a large tree. A tree that I passed by almost every day. I looked into the branches, to see if I could see the nest it had fallen out of, but there was nothing there. And we were already a couple of weeks into September! I didn't know of any bird whose young hatched in the fall.

So I took it home. And that's how it all began.

First Post!

Here is my first post! I've decided to make a blog and for all the same reasons as most of you reading this decided to make yours. I want to get my voice out there, and I want you all to have a part in my magical, wonderful life. And I want to reblog pretty pictures, of course! :)
