SUMMARY:
19-year-old Luke Skywalker meets a fellow 19-year-old Han Solo, a freshly escapee from the Imperial Navy and has crash-landed on Tatooine, and upon their first encounter, Luke destroys both of the boys only way off the godforsaken planet. Now Han has to escape the debt-ridden claws of Jabba the Hutt while simultaneously keeping a low radar with the Empire. After much of Luke's insistence, Han agrees to work together for the betterment of both their goals.
or
Drawn by something unexplainable, Luke stumbled through the mechanical clutter littering the entrance of the hangar, squeezing through pieces of machinery. He emerged on the other side, practically sprinting towards the TIE Fighter. Upon reaching it, he immediately ran a finger across the metal plates of one of the wings, the steel cold beneath his fingertips. Pod racers were nothing compared to this: a starfighter that’s height immensely towered over him and could fly through atmosphere and never stop.
A spaceship was all Luke needed to leave Tatooine, to leave the life of a farm boy behind him. All of it lay in front of him, just a little less than a dream away.
Hope you enjoy!!!

Star's Crashing
A WIP Fanfic by thegoblinwriter

mostly gunna be slowburn
AU where Luke meets an aged down Han who's crashed landed on Tatooine
PREMISE: Luke Skywalker, stuck on Tatooine and wishing to leave his farm life behind, stumbles unto a starfighter. Curiosity overtaking him, he investigates the ship, but he accidentally destroys the whole thing leading to a very angry Han Solo who demands him to help him fix up his ship again. Little do they know that this incident sprouts a bond between the two of them and various misadventures.
PREVIEW: (the first 400ish words of chapter 1)
The early morning on Tatooine started the same as always: dry and deathly hot. Harvest season had recently picked up, meaning Uncle Owen has had Luke working on the moisture farm in overtime, tending to the vaporators, instructing the droids, etcetera.
Luke needed a break, desperately, so he hurriedly accepted his uncle’s request of retrieving some electronic pieces in Anchorhead needed to temporarily repair a droid that had overheated until the Jawas stopped by so we could buy another one. He would usually go to Anchorhead’s Tosche Station and spend time with Biggs or Windy, but Windy had been getting on his nerves lately and Biggs had escaped this sandy shithole and went to the Imperial Academy this semester.
After parking his Landspeeder, Luke strolled through the town, throwing a pebble into the air and catching it again. He scanned the streets as he walked, observing each store and apartment complex. There were only a few shops that had probably not changed in the past fifty years: the general store, the droid repair shop, and a ship repair station Luke had never seen in use before…
He stopped in his tracks, the small rock erupting a dust explosion as it splat onto the ground. A TIE Fighter, a ship with a circular cockpit connected to two hexagonal wings, was docked in the middle of it, grimy and dirty with a few exposed bits, but it was a spaceship all the same. The closest thing Luke had ever seen to a ship, besides drawings of them, is pod racers, some of which he’d raced himself.
As if drawn by a supernatural force, Luke stumbled through the mechanical clutter littering the entrance, squeezing through pieces of machinery. He emerged on the other side, practically sprinting towards the TIE Fighter, immediately running a finger across the metal plates of one of the wings, the steel cold beneath his fingertips. The pod racers were nothing compared to this, a starfighter that’s height immensely towered over him and could fly out of the atmosphere.
A spaceship was all Luke needed to leave Tatooine, to leave the life of a farm boy behind him. All of it lay in front of him, just a little less than a dream away.
Luke encircled the starfighter, awe widening his eyes. Hope immaturely swam its way into the pits of his stomach, a warm bubbly feeling.
“Hey!” a shout called, startling Luke. He stumbled backwards into one of the hexagonal wings, which apparently wasn’t screwed on too tight because it creaked and groaned before toppling over right on top of the cockpit, crushing it and knocking over the other wing which squashed a crate-load of supplies.
His hope immediately drowned.
*btw this is all susceptible to change, I just wanted to give a little preview of my writing !!
