What are your kids going to be for Halloween?

Getting ready to go pick up the kids Halloween costumes this weekend! Thankfully they already know what they want to be! My L wants to be Pirate Tink, and my M wants to be a T-Rex! It has to be a T-Rex, he will not settle for less I'm sure. I just hope they have what they want!!!!!!

Washer!

So our washer broke down a few days ago and FINALLY someone was able to come out this morning and fix the motor! I'm just hoping that was the problem b/c this mama has some serious laundry that has to do be done! Running the test cycle now, pray it works! We already spent $180 to get it repaired!

Where do I begin?

So I'm still in bed, sleeping? No. I have submitted several job applications today, 5 to be exact! But now it's 11:22am and I really need to get my day started.  Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all that I have to do today not sure where I should begin! Well I know I have to feed the dogs, but then what. So much to do, in so little time! And the husband had a short business trip so he is not going to be home tonight! Blah. 

I guess I should get off tumblr and walk around my house trying to figure out where to begin, or catch up on some of my TV shows that I never get to watch.  Anyway...off I go!

The day ahead of me

Well I wish I could say I was going to relax and take a nap, but that is not the case!!! On my todo list:

-apply for several jobs

-hand wash clothes (our washer broke in the middle of a load)

-pay bills

-pick up house

-dishes

and this is all before the kids get out of school. I'm so sleepy! I was woken up 5 times last night! WTH! Oh well, my work is never done:( Happy Thursday!!

Shower Caddy Storage Who knew metal shower caddies could make cute storage for your room? Spruce it up with bows, ribbons, and even washi tape.

Such a neat idea! I would have never thought of this! Might have to try this in my little man's room!!!! 

Make a nice cross pattern on your wall by using black tape. Make sure to measure it out with ruling tape and a pencil to mark spots before hand, as you want it to be neat. Very nice for a room and easy to take off. Don’t want crosses? Make triangles or squares with the same tape.

This is going to be at the top of my DIY list! I def need some sort of LARGE organizer to help me keep track of our day to day activities. 

Frame Weekly Organizer

For this creative idea, you will need

A picture frame set like the one pictured above, with plenty of small frames. You can find these many places. Make sure it has at least 7 frames

Decorative cardstock paper (or: wallpaper, wrapping paper, patterns, pictures, colored paper)

Letter stickers (optional)

Dry Erase markers

Cut your card stock paper into 5x7” rectangles, or however big your frames are. The size should be on the frame. Most frames have a cardboard back that is removable and you can use to trace the shape. Write or place your letter stickers on the card stock to spell out days of the week. Be conscious of how you are going to place them in the frame; will it be vertical or horizontal? Place the cutouts into the frame. If your frame is metal, glue a magnet to the side of the dry erase marker and attach it to the frame. Otherwise you may just want to find a way to get it to stay on the frame.

Write some notes on top of the glass, that way you can erase with ease!

American Chop Suey here! 

1lb ground beef (93% always)

1lb of noodles (we are using elbow noodles, my son prefers them over spaghetti noodles)

I usually use: fresh onions, red pepper (blends in with the sauce) and celery, but tonight I used all seasonings since my husband was suppose to be out of town tonight!

Surprise you have to cook!

Alone time

Sometimes couples get caught up in all the busy daily activities of life. For a stay at home mom, I don't get to watch that much TV, nor get to spend much time with my husband. After the kids are in bed, I usually follow, so trying to find some alone time with 2 kids and 4 dogs is very difficult!! 

It's true I stay home and it's nice that his job has REALLY flexible schedule, we still get caught in the daily routine! So lately we have been trying to find anyway to spend a little time together and today I was very proud of myself!! 

He had to run to the bank to pay our rent (yes we rent, I do not want to buy a house in this area right now). And although I could have stayed home and taken another nap, or finished watching my shows (The Voice) I decided to get dressed and go with him. Doesn't seem like much fun right? WRONG! It was a blast. Just some of our conversation:

H: What is the difference between seamen and sperm? 

and of course he asks this question while standing in front of the bank teller! haha. It's just this kind of crazy conversations that I could have missed out on!! Seriously people, don't get caught up with life! The laundry does not clean itself, neither does the house, floors, bathrooms, ect., so it will always be there tomorrow or even in a few hours! You never know when your love ones will be gone forever, cherish the time you have now, before you never have it again!
