Mothering vs. Coddling

I’m going to have to be careful here… Hell, I just got into the biggest fucking fight with my sister-in-law about this exact topic; who I am not talking to at the moment because she absolutely is overprotective and babying my niece and nephew...to a point of manipulation. It’s frustrating for someone as independent and outspoken as I am... but this is not about her.

This is about idiot husbands who are so jealous of moms who protect and defend their children. They often call it “coddling”, “baby”, or the recent inspiration for this post “making excuses”. I am especially annoyed with those idiot fathers who are doing absolutely nothing with their lives, and yet want to demand more and better from their own children who we as moms are trying to nurture. It’s almost as if it becomes competitive... especially if you have a teenage boy.

For the record, I’m not overprotective. All of my children left for kindergarten with the biggest smiles on their face and an excited wave as they left me behind for their next adventure. They didn’t cling to my legs screaming to stay in the comfort of my womb. They left confident and secure and they made new friends quickly with ease. They adjusted well. They are kids. They are resilient and I am proud of them every day.They still need guidance, they need discipline, they need a mother’s reassurance and love.  Despite constant arguments and fights with my idiot husband about how situation should be handled or any minor mischief they may get into, it is my natural instinct to protect them and to love them before myself. That’s not cuddling. That’s not making excuses. That’s been a mom. 

How insecure does a father have to be to find competition and jealousy in the love that a mother gives her child?  It’s a rhetorical question so don’t even bother with an answer.

My suggestion for similar idiot fathers (because a friend said all of my ranting should at least be helpful - 🙄) show them how to be mature and teach them something you wish someone had taught you. Show your boys how to be men through your actions. Show your daughters how men should treat women through your actions. Instead of being jealous because of a mothers protection or love, understand it and accept it. Know your replace as the provider for the family and that you’re number one responsibility should be to take care of your wife, support her, love her, so that she can take care of your children. 

Because the truth is an idiot husband is always replaceable, but our children will always be our children.

'ello people.. How's it going... Lifes been busy recently.. Had to attend two weddings. In laws weddings,and my God was it boring... Damn, there was hardly any one I knew.

And I also happened to have a 9 months old baby who was very cranky because you guessed it (or dint you?) an overload of People.

Would you believe me if I said there we almost 2000 people attending.. Jeez I dint see that coming!! It wasn't pleasant..

The only thing that was good was after my baby went to sleep I got to roughly draft my blog 😬 ( I am oppressed aren't I).. It was good until dinner time came and it was like a stampede.

A poor old lady fell off the stairs in the crowd.. God it was awful.. Had my dinner and didn't stab anyone to death ( though I wanted to).

Well I have to go today again, hopefully it won't be that eventful..

Okay. So I have thought about starting a blog which has basically everything I go through and been through ( that sounds boring), its nothing dramatic, but as I said I am trying to find myself.. So let's see how it goes.. Ta-ta will be back again
