On the Ruins of Giants
A small RPG about a big, decaying world
Art by @bedupolker / @bedupolker.bsky.social
Well, I went and got big art for a project I was only fiddling with so far, so I guess I need to make a proper post for it
Well, I went and got big art for a project I was only fiddling with so far, so I guess I need to make a proper post for it
Being small mice exploring the decaying ruins of the human world
Building up your colony so that it can survive
Traversing dangerously decayed and overgrown environments, as well as figuring out how to get your salvage back home
Dealing with all manner of mutants as well as seemingly unremarkable threats magnified by your stature
I have a lot of mechanic ideas that need testing (What dice to use, combat and positioning, character creation, exploration and more), and to do that I need to actually write them down outside of jot notes, so i guess I should get back to that
I have a few other posts about it (check the tags) but that's where I'll leave it for now. Little mutated lab mice in a big, hostile world. Coming whenever my ADHD lets me make progress on it. If you want to keep up, follow me here or on my bsky I basically never post unless it's about a project :V
One final thing, there's actually two versions of that pic, the original and one digitally tweaked, which do people like most?

"vampire fans" when the vampire is an evil parasite that hurts people and feeds on the living and not a pale twink who's horny for the main girl

I would still use my turn signals in the Mad Max Wasteland. They'd call me "Signal" because I'd hit my blinker before ramming the enemy hot rods into the side of a desert ravine. I'd use my turn signal every time. They would respect me for this.

Idk how many of you might have tried or at least heard about quesadillas. (Doesn't count if you have to google it).
And since I've noticed most people here are from the US or somewhere in Europe, I wanted to get a perspective from outside and ask:
Does quesadillas must have cheese in them? (as in if cheese is one of the main ingredients)
(not sure if you could add a third option for those who don't know what I'm talking about, thank you <3)

Of fucking course Orange Man himself, Donald “van Gogh” Trump, would claim something as delusional and ridiculous as “El Salvador didn’t fix its violence problem, it just sent us their criminals”, completely undermining everything president Nayib Bukele has done to quell internal strife in his country.
Which is doubly maddening because all the issues El Salvador had until Bukele happened precisely because back in the 80’s, the US took every single Salvadorian immigrant and send them back to the country, as it was easier than to deal with the gang problem plaguing Salvadorian immigrants, which began thanks to the drug trade and civil war in El Salvador, both, ironically enough, fueled by the CIA.
Dude, you survived an assassination attempt, at the very least use it to humble yourself and not spread bullshit.

"I'm not going to vote, that will show them"
But what if you treated this like something that affects millions of lives, and not just something you enjoy being smug about online

A text of law written to be ambiguous on purpose is a good thing?
My favorite part of US politics is how much is based around INTERPRETATIONS of the US constitution, mainly because it was written in a dogshit fancy way that went out of style shortly after its introduction, making many things ambiguous enough to garner constant infighting among political parties, simply because no one is exactly sure how it’s supposed to be read.

Typed "IKEA" into google maps and for some reason it decided to show me pretty much every single IKEA location in the nordic countries combined instead of just the one closest to me and ngl I'm kinda obsessed with this review in Sweden
