Gambit slays so hard when it comes to Rogue like omg

-She is unable to touch him, and he is completely fine with that. (fuck Bobby Drake in the Xmen movies. Also, why was that even a pairing????)

-Never insecure about her being a lot stronger than him, and never tries to bring her down because of it

-Completely supportive of her

-She doesn't want to start anything official because she's insecure about her power? That's completely fine, as long as he still gets to be with her. Never pressured her to start anything either, because he wanted her to feel completely safe and comfortable. He knew what he was getting into, and he is completely fine with it

-Supports her through her insecurities

-He was hurt by Rogue's thing with Magneto, even ending their situationship because of it, but he was never once mean to her or took his anger out on her. Even when he saw them dance, he didn't get mad at her. He was really hurt, so he left the room. No outburst, not snapping, no nothing. Slayed so hard in that scene

-SACRIFICED HIS LIFE TO PREVENT HER FROM GETTING KILLED. EVEN AFTER HE SAW HER DO A VERY SEXUALLY CHARGED DANCE WITH ANOTHER MAN

-Yeah, no, I just like how sweet and supportive he is of Rogue, and how he's never pushy or forecful or mean to her. Too much of the opposite in a lot of hetero couples in media these days :(

Do I, or any fanfic author for that matter, have any legal claims to our work? No, not really, no. (Although if someone took a fic, filed off the serial number--deleted the fandom specific elements--, and then had it published for financial gain, yeah, that would be a case.)

BUT

Fandoms are built on a social contract that says we respect each others work, the effort people put into their art. We don't steal or disrespect the work of our peers. By feeding people's fanworks to AI you both steal and disprect it, and we need to make people realize that before it's too late--before fandom falls apart, because there will be no more real, actual fanworks.

like i'm sorry but we as a fandom have to stay firm on our anti-AI values. we cannot suddenly start giving AI a pass when it's something we "want to see" like destiel kisses. it's not suddenly fine. we're not going to start using AI to make fanfic scenes come to life or audio AI to make characters "say" stuff we want to hear. you have GOT to be firm on your anti-AI stance. if you start making exceptions then suddenly anything will fly. fandom is for real art and creations made by real people. no AI fanfics. no AI art. no AI rendered "bonus" scenes. no AI audio. none of it has a place here.
