Lazy Saturday.
Is my watercolour any good? Not really. Original? Again no, I’m learning from people on YouTube. Is it a good way to let go of anxiety? Yes, and that’s what counts.

Time flies when you manage to not go into the office for 5 days. I’m lacking motivation and I feel tired, let’s see where the next week takes me…

December ‘23, Bordeaux
Mixed feelings about this city: on one hand it looks nice, it is quite lively, and has great public transportation; on the other hand many buildings looked quite neglected and abandoned even. Maybe the gloomy weather didn’t help with giving me positive vibes…

I mean… it was a nice thriller, good plot even if I guessed the killer about 3/4 in. I did not really love the “strong female cop written by a man” character though…
Not much tu say about this.

I want to start logging and reviewing the books I read this year.
First one was a bit disappointing, considering it won the Nobel in 2022.
I could understand and empathize with the author describing how she felt a growing distance with her parents due to her education and how this allowed her to get a better social position, and I liked how the story of her father was told through anecdotes and memories; however this specific writing style was not for me, too much like a stream of consciousness or a “list” of events, it gave me a sense of distance that didn’t resonate with the story being told.
Maybe Annie Ernaux is not for me.
