Monkey D. family has been on my mind.

Was it hard for Dragon to hand over his son? Was it hard for Garp to take him knowing Luffys childhood isn’t going to be any easier than Ace’s? What made him leave Luffy with the village instead of the bandits? Did he think about trying to reason with Dragon and bring him home or did he accept the request silently knowing he couldn’t change anything?

What makes Garp so scared of the gods he can’t even imagine defying them, What makes Garp so scared that it’s easier to play the game than oppose it? What pushed Dragon past that point? How long did it take Dragon to divorce the Monkey D. from his name? Was it a choice from the start to separate himself from his father or was it something he struggled with. Cause he joined the navy when he was young, he must have had some sort of admiration for his father. What made him think the safest place for his son was beside his father. Do you think he felt any relief seeing him in their home town again? Was he reminded of easier times when he was ignorant and uninformed? Was he reminded of summers in the village playing and training with his father?

Was Garp reminded of being handed a baby just like this just over three years ago? One just as innocent but cursed with “sinners” blood? What does that make of his own blood if his son and grandsons are to be condemned? Did he think of being handed a baby like this for the first time? Thirty odd years ago holding something half himself and half his wife?

I think about them a lot.

Every time momo and Luffy interacted I couldn’t help but think of Luffys brothers.

Every episode Luffy forced Momo to step up and make a decision or step into his role I thought of Ace watching as Luffy fought the bear. In the event Momo might fail Luffy was there to hop in and take care of him but still demanded he try. Luffy learned how to be a big brother from his own big brothers and I think that’s beautiful.

Closeups of Nami, Zoro, Sanji, and usopp cause they’re pretty. Nami’s ankle bracelet has a color for each straw hat, Zoro has a different belt for Wado, shusui, and kitetsu, usopp is wearing merry merch, and not pictured down here but Sanjis undies have his name embroidered on the band. Nami is also the only one actually ready for the picture.

Robin and Franky have matching shirts and Franky has a tom tattoo

Also the art wall during the process and the final. Kozuki symbol has the initial for each member and an I at the bottom for izou bc he stayed part of the whitebeards. Shanks placed his Jolly Roger next to blackbeards as a ‘hey I’m watching you’
