FINAL UPDATE

((*coughing up dust* JESUS its been a while.

umm hi! i know i said i'd come back to this blog in some way, shape, or form like... *looks at watch* wow, almost 2 years ago on the dot, so sorry for the delay, but i actually have an update!

i was reading through this blog again for old times sake and realized that i unintentionally used a lot of the original lore i came up with for this au to flesh out my current cast of main ocs.

that realization gave me the idea to make a new ask blog!! i know, an ask blog in 2023, crazy! but ive been completely hyperfixated on these ocs and need an excuse to talk about them and expand on their world + lore, so i'm pleased to announce xount drakula, an ask blog dedicated to the cast of wolfsbane!

if any of you are still around and would like to follow me on this new adventure, i highly recommend checking out xount drakula! its not sally face anymore, but the vibes r pretty much the same, and i think you'll really like these guys if you fell in love with the red eyed demons and all their band antics. wolfsbane has been a passion project of mine for a few years. there's some short films + stuff out about them and a ton of lore still yet to be revealed. it'll be fun, i promise!

if you're actually still here after all of these years, or if you're just now stumbling upon this blog in the wake of the sally face kickstarter, i wanna say thanks for all of the support. running the red eyed demons was some of the most fun ive ever had on the internet. the small little community we made here was a real light in my life during a lot of really stressful and isolating life changes. hopefully ill see some of you around!

((so uhh... long time no see ig.

i just wanted to pop up and say sorry for abandoning this blog completely without warning. lots has happened since the last time i posted. like. lots. both just generally in the world and also personally.

im definitely not nearly as into sally face as i once was and actually dont really... like the game anymore. i have a lot of criticisms of it that i didnt see when i was hyperfixated. i still love the characters and this au means the absolute world to me but... idk! i moved on to original stuff. ive got a book in the making, a video game concept on the table. im in college focusing on art and have learned a ton, and im trying to expand my animation portfolio so i can hopefully get some of my ideas out into the world one day. exciting things!!! but also time consuming things. not to mention moving out, adopting a cat, top surgery. its been a busy few years.

but enough about that. if i was just going to talk about why i left i wouldnt have come back on here in the first place. ive actually been thinking about bringing this blog back. my art has improved tenfold and i think this blog really helped me learn how to build characters and stories, so id love to give it some love again now that i kinda know what im doing.

im not really sure how to bring it back though. do i stick with the sally face characters? do i rebrand to something original, keeping the same concepts but changing the characters so theyre no longer tied to steve gabry? i think i diverged from canon enough that the story can exist on its own, but would people want to see that? do people even like sally face anymore??? is there anyone here?????????

theres a lot to think about, i guess! and id love to hear yalls suggestions. this blog was a lot of fun and one of the most wholesome experiences ive had on this website, and ive been here for a while! if anyones still around, id love to hear what they have to say.

so yeah, uh, maybe expect something soon?? hopefully i can stick to this and have some fun again. i missed yall!

what does everyone play in the band?

we’re actually kinda all over the place, but for the most part, i do vocals and backup guitar, todd does lead guitar and backup vocals, larry’s on the drums, and ash is on bass!

we’ve been adding some more keyboard to our stuff, though! and we’ve been playing around with lots of solos so everyone gets their time to shine, it’s really fun! :)

I just remembered me and my friends have a band named the killers I play the guitar we haven't played in so damn long since are main person forgot it's been 2 dang years! And I just told them about it were gunna continue in a few days after we can come up a new song that we like but than again half the time it's just us going insane on the instruments

oh, jeez, we’re not professionals or anything, so we can’t really give you scales or notes or anything like that.

we both have pretty low voices, todd’s being lower than mine. think, like... i’m a little higher than patrick stump, and todd’s a little lower than kurt cobain!

todd’s got a better range than me, considering he does screaming. i like to embrace a punk style of vocals.
