RNY/VSG PEEPS:
Follow your guidelines. I thought I’d have all the discipline in the world, but alas, I don’t. I haven’t had a protein shake in two weeks, and my diet mainly consists of water. I’m nearly a month post-op and I haven’t taken any of my vitamins. (I know, this is bad bad bad bad)
I’m going to go tomorrow to get a prescription of B12 injections, so at least those will be monthly and there is no “Oh I forgot” nonsense. I’m going to be in trouble, I already know. Hopefully by the time I go for my post-op check up at the hospital, I will be doing better than I am now. Blood work will tell them EVERYTHING.

Day 6 Post Op
I must say, this recovery has been pretty difficult. I haven’t been meeting protein/water or vitamins goals by a long shot. Trying to get my water in alone, has hurt.
But I tried some tomato soup, and holy shit, I didn’t die and it didn’t hurt.
In an effort to get into a routine, I have finally set up my Baritastic app. I’ve set up alarms, food logs, and hopefully I will be able to grab a pill organizer later today. 
Please pray for me/send positive vibes, as my pouch needs to cooperate. I’m going to make a solid effort!

Hello lovely people,
Welcome to The Shrinking Diary!
On February 12, 2018 I will officially join the losers bench– I will be having Gastric Bypass! Now 21, I have been waiting for that day since I was 15 and first learning about RnY. Currently I am on Day 8 of the Optifast diet— 4 shakes a day, and clear fluids – that’s it. I will admit that I did cheat a few days ago, and it has been super difficult the last few. But I’m surviving. I’m good. Every time I think I could eat an entire delissio pizza (It would be a first lol), I remember what the end goal is. I remember the things I want to do, the clothes I want to wear and the places I want to go. Most of all, I remember that I am about to be handed a new lease on life, and it doesn’t come with a free pass.
I’m ready for the losers bench, and I hope you’ll join me for the ride! Eek!
