Okay, this is the last of the mourning dove photos, I apologize that there were so many.

These two are by far my favorite! I really love this bird.

I was so lucky, my neighbor has a relatively short tree and I got really close while a mourning dove was in it. 6-8ft away and less than a foot higher from eye level. You can see the iridescence of the neck.

It’s been awhile since I did an ask in general but I just rlly wanted to let you know that I love the pictures you take. Makes me smile and dream about taking photos like them, also genuinely makes me wish I was able to be more active to be able to take some.

Thank you! That means so much. Whenever I see nice photos I want to escape my life and go take more photos. I at least want to get a longer lens to see the birds better, the ones that are really high up or in trees farther away.

What we have here my friends is one of my all time favorite birds. In my top 5 for sure. A mourning dove.

Tree at Raven Run a couple years ago. The last time I was able to go out in public/leave the house for anything other than the vet. I just thought it was really pretty.

Don't let the situation with Israel started with Iran make you forget that the West Bank is under increased siege and Gaza is under an internet blackout.

Given the horrors they do openly I can only imagine what is going on in Gaza now.

These photos aren't the sharpest, the light was against me and the subject was farther than what my lens can capture well, but I thought the moment was worth posting. Cedar waxwing mid berry monch.

Just a lil robin, pretty simple maybe even boring, but I thought the photo turned out pretty good. It landed really close.

Another European starling. The light hit just right and shows a full rainbow of iridescence.

The northern mockingbird may not be the flashiest bird out there, but it is an absolute joy to listen to. I would describe the sounds it makes as similar to a sci-fi laser battle.

My Lore: Regrettably I contracted The Shutter Bug. Since being infected I have been compelled to take photographs. Mostly bugs, birds, and flowers.

I am an unpaid live-in aide for an elderly woman, in my spare time I love taking photos of nature. I don't get out, but I take photos from or near my backyard.

Aside from photography I also plan to use this blog as a place for my poetry. Villanelles are my favorite type of poem.

Very proud of this photo. Definitely a new fave. The bokeh and foreground elements are great and give a sense of depth. The lighting is good.

I think I will get this printed as a poster.
