Hello, I'm Verity Johnston a 23 year old (not literally!) integrated strategy planning director who likes to hunt down revelations to profitably change behaviour. In my spare time I devour popular culture and study Law.

It's been tough this last year and a half hasn't it? So much uncertainty, fear and hardship thanks to covid.
Just imagine going through all that and living in a war torn country. Displaced from your home living in a refugee camp.
On June 13th I'll survive for one week on refugee rations. A small act to show my solidarity, spread awareness and raise money for essential supplies of food and medicine.
Please can you spare a couple of ££s to sponsor me to help people less fortunate than ourselves.

Untouchable: The Rise and Fall of Harvey Weinstein: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p07hbyjc via @bbciplayer
A must watch documentary.
It's proof that if you can rise above the shit and be a hero the world can change. It won't change instantly but small improvements can be made.
We all have to stop being complicit to all that is wrong. We can all make a small difference.
Welcome to the world of marginal gains. Join me in trying to do one tiny thing a day to make our world less shit.
Who's with me?

Really looking forward to the new album from Iggy Pop. He's channeling a beatnik vibe which focuses on his lyrics more than his usual style.

All social media addict's need to listen to this song. It's time to act and not be a passive observer to all the dreadful things that are going down in this world. We must stop the trend towards kamikaze politics where all lose out except the 1%. USA has Trumpism. UK has bexit and Brazil is letting the rainforest burn to be replaced by a cash crop. We have to stop being shortermist.

A must watch documentary especially for people in marketing. It's scary how digital marketing avoids any kind of advertising standards and regulations. Brittany Kaiser came under a lot of fire for dubious ethics but personally I don't take issue with the use of data as a concept. She is to be applauded for whistleblowing. I do however take issue with the people who created the fake news and conducted social engineering. Facebook should act like the media owner it is and take responsibility of the advertising and advertorial content it allows to be served.

Nice to see Pirelli still exploring the concept of beauty in their calendar but not at the expense of exploitation of the models. I wonder though how many male dominated garages will hang it on their wall.

Another gem from Sleater Kinney. And the video is a great artifact for the modern age.

I'm not happy that the USA beat our #lionesses but they continue to do good things for equality and drive the public debate and exceptance of diversity. Nice commercial from Nike saying this and more...

Just say no to Nivea. Apparently "they don't do gay in advertising" total respect to the agency who's reaction was to not renew their contract.

This is what I've been asking for. What a brilliant advertising idea and a real call to arms.
