Day 23 : Disconnect

I have lived in the same house past 23 years of my life. It has seen me transform and grow and I have seen it alter its colour and shape and smell and feel.

We got it renovated recently. The walls don't look like how I've known them to look like for most of my life. It doesn't remind me of my fights with my sibling, my childhood best friend, my mother, or my stupid monkey toy anymore.
