Its various spin-offs (Grey Bananas, Green Bananas, BANANAS 42, and others) are proof that VerBS’ network and reach extend far beyond his mother-genre. His radiantly smiling persona and his enduring excitement for the art belies his many years in the game, and with performances at iconic Los Angeles stalwarts like Low End Theory, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Paid Dues Festival, FMLYFEST, and Homie Fest under his belt, it’s clear he’s the player president. VerBS has toured America and opened with headlining hip-hop talent including Murs, Rapper Big Pooh, Open Mike Eagle, Nocando, Milo, Kosha Dillz, and Sick Jacken in addition to his extensive history performing with indie bands of all genres. His fine-tuned, high-energy performances are inspired in part by the eclectic likes of the Life Aquatic, Mos Def, Murs, Phonte Coleman, Jay Z, the Cardigans, Darwin Deez, One be lo, Ice Cube, Nas, Busta Rhymes, and Eminem.
