Skadi stared out across the metropolis, helmet off and hood down. “My…condition makes it difficult to be a Guardian. Difficult in a way that other Guardians simply can’t relate to. My presence, my…pain. It makes them uncomfortable. And so they respond with anger and disgust.”

Hugging her knees to her chest, she sighed. “I say I’m at home in the wilds of the EDZ, but…it’s a hard life. Having a stable home would be nice, but…like I said, I don’t feel welcome. Maybe I don’t belong here. Maybe I don’t belong anywhere.”

Skadi sang into the night as she gazed at the stars. She’d been away from the City for a long time now, and she was aching for a connection. A yearning to find someone similar to herself. Not in the sense of her malfunctioning resurrections, of course—she would never wish that on anyone—but in the sense of her lifestyle, her beliefs and personality traits.

So hey everyone. I just wanted to post this to let everyone know what’s been going on and why I’ve been so quiet.

I’ve been struggling for a long time with anxiety, and the last couple of weeks it’s gotten a whole lot worse. I’m anxious, I’m depressed, I’m paranoid, and it’s not getting better.

It’s completely killed my ability to write for the time being. My muse is gone. I’m really sorry to everyone who has threads with me or wants threads with me, but...I can’t right now. I’m so, so sorry.

I don’t know when I’ll be coming back. I want to write. But...I just can’t right now. I’m sorry.

I hope I can come back soon, but for now...I don’t know. Right now I need to look after myself. I’m really sorry.
