“I want to live a vibrant life

I want to die a boring death”

Tenure was the best cat I’ve ever known (possibly the best cat in the whole world). I’ve known her for 15 years, we grew up together.

She lived a vibrant life.

She followed us on walks that we took as a family, then later would follow us when we walked the dogs. When she was little she got lost for a couple days before coming back. She got in many cat fights before she had to retire from being an unsupervised outdoor cat.

She terrorized many small animals and once assisted the dogs in killing a rat that was HIDING IN MY JACKET!!

She stole an entire salmon once, and we had to be vigilant or she would lick the butter. She made sure we finished board games in one night or she would knock the figurines off if the table.

Tenure held so much love in her heart. She loved snuggles and pets, and would purr exceptionally loud. She tolerated two puppies and coexisted with them as they grew up.

She was chased up a tree by a stray dog. Our next door neighbor adopted that dog and Tenure would sit outside their glass front door and antagonize their dog.

She loved her snacks and was not good at taking medication. She gave the vets such a hard time that we had to give her anxiety meds before her routine appointments, but she let me cut her nails after she became an indoor cat, and loved her ears being cleaned.

She gently nibbled on my fingers to let me know when she didn’t want to be pet anymore. She held my hand with her paw sometime when we napped together.

A part of me really thought she was going to live forever. She took a unexpected steep decline (or as unexpected of a decline as a 15 year old cat with kidney issues, hyperthyroidism, and FIV can take) the final day of my fall break. We took her to the emergency vet that night.

Despite the pain meds she was being given she was still in a lot of pain, but she lay on my lap and purred until she was put to sleep.

I miss her, but she died peacefully. Everyone thought she was going to be hit by a car or get killed by a dog or a fellow cat, but she got to die with the people she loved. I’m glad I could be there for her.

Turns out if you quilt yourself a new mini blanket to use as a face mask it’s not going to have the same texture of your baby blanket that’s as old as you.

Any tips on spend running softening cotton?

Repeat after me: If Spa is cancelled because of rain we will not complain, we will be thankful that they're finally taking how dangerous and serious Spa is when it's raining or poor visibility and that they should not be putting the drivers lives at high than normal risks because it's a "historical" track and they'll loose money

After the ot drought at the beginning of the regular season it’s very poetic to end the 19 year second round drought from an ot win 💙

Samsonov had such a good game and it’s been amazing to see him preform so well against Vasilevskiy.
