good winter greenhouse things:
steam coming off the heated seeding bench when you water in the morning
frost patterns on old glass windows
patches of snow on hoop house roof
the sun always slanting in at an angle that’s good for dramatic lighting pictures and even better for quietly contemplating an old kind of divinity
walking inside from a frigid blizzard to green growing things
tropical plant and cacti blooms
the feeling of cold soil warming in your hands
silence that is not quite silence, the sound of unfurling leaves and stretching roots

🐺Fenrir Devotional Tips🐺
Fenrir is son of Loki and Angrboða, brother to Hel and Jörmungandr. Fenrir is a godly wolf larger than the mountains of Jötunheim, his name translates to “he who dwells in marshes”. Fenrir is a deity for the misunderstood, for those trying to grow when others want to keep you chained down, for speaking up and courage, a god of wrath, courage, anger, and sadness, and a protector of swamps. Please keep in mind that Fenrir was not commonly worshipped in Nordic times so most information on worshipping him is entirely UPG or SPG.
Donate to local wolf rehabilitation centers(or the Colorado one).
Use the runes Isa, Halgaz, Naudiz, or Berkana in your altar or practice.
You can use the colors, black, brown, gray, white, dark blues, and red in your altar or offerings to him.
Practice self-care, the kind that is good and specific for you, not what others tell you self-care is.
Decorate your home and altar with wolves or items/decorations that remind you of the swamp and Fenrir.
Plant juniper, yarrow, turmeric, onion, vervain, or night blooming flowers in your home garden.
Be more honest and vocal about your opinions.
Try to do a devotional act or offering on foggy, rainy days. I find strong connections to him then!
Read the stories that mention him in the Poetic + Prose Eddas; as well as the Gylfaginning, Skáldskaparmál, Háttatal, and Heimskringla.
Take a personal weekend trip to the mountains.
Light candles or incense of musk, juniper, cedarwood, mugwort, and myrrh as offerings or devotional time with him.
Take walks or hikes in forgotten places(parks, graveyards, etc.).
Help clean up or maintain those places.
Wear darker make up + accessories to honor him.
Use crystals like smoky topaz, obsidian, howite, lapis lazuli, black agate, smoky quartz, lava rock, chryscolla, or bloodstone.
Protect the vulnerable.
Leave out offerings of (medium)rare meat, mead, or hearty meals.

Deity Jars
Having a small living space can cause lots of witchy problems. One thing that I struggled finding space for was an altar for the deities I follow. I’ve seen lots of posts about making travel sized altars in mint tins for the busy or closeted witch and that’s where I got the inspiration to make my deity jars!
What you can do is get a wide mouth jar (there are loads available at places like the Dollar Store for a witch on a budget) and fill it with plants, crystals, and other items that are sacred or are of some significance to the deity you’re making it for.
For example, my Aphrodite jar is filled with dried rose petals, pearl-like beads on a necklace, rose quartz, clear quartz, sea shells, and coral.
You can use the jars for worship, prayers, meditation, harnessing the energy of the deity for spells, or for amplifying your own energy for spells that would fall into the deities domain.
I’ve used my Aphrodite jar for all sorts of love spells! I’ve used it focus my intent during spells and if a love spell requires writing your intent on paper, I just put the finished writings inside the jar for a period of time based on lunar phases or until the spell is completed and accomplished.
The Deity Jars can be used for any pantheon and are relatively cheap and easy to make! If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask!

how to deal with a witchy burnout
most of us have been there. we lose our touch with the craft and don’t feel like doing much. we feel too tired and exhausted to put effort in it and sometimes we feels like there’s no point.
here are some tips on how to get out of this sticky situation! 🌙
drink tea ✨
yes, you heard me! drinking teas with specific herbs (like chamomile for sleep, lavender for anxiety, etc.) will help you get in tune with herbal magick. you can also stir your tea clockwise to bring forward something (like good energy or calmness) or add a sigil on the bottom with some honey (doesn’t have to be perfect). 🍵✨🌸
nature walk ✨
get in tune with those energies outside! i always find a walk on the grass helps pick up my mood (especially barefoot!!). envision the energies from the earth flowing into your body 🌱🌎🍃
witchy movie ✨
sometimes, we just need a little inspo to bring us back to our craft. watching witchy movies can bring back that spark into us! some great movies i recommend are:
the craft
hocus pocus
the love witch
practical magic
charmed (a show)
carrie
the vampire diaries (a show)
tarot ✨
start off with one card if more than that feels like it would tire you. it’s ok! you can do one in the morning by asking a simple question like “what should i focus on today?” 🔮✨💜
food ✨
incorporate some magick into the food you eat! this isn’t hard at all, especially since we all eat food everyday. simply add an intent to an herb or spice and then add it into your food. for example, add cinnamon onto your oatmeal, with your intent being that you will have abundance 🥐🍦🍩
songs ✨
songs are great to get you back into magick! listen to pagan music, celtic songs, or just look up “witchcraft songs,” “wiccan songs,” or “pagan songs” on spotify🌛🤍🌜
gratitude ✨
this one’s real simple! when you wake up, thank the universe that you got to live to see another day. you can even journal it. breathe in the air and think of how grateful you are that you’re able to do that. soak in the sun’s rays and feel the heat. 🌞🌼💛
final words...
it’s ok to take breaks! nothing wrong with that. it’s human. appreciate yourself as a person. remember, you are magickal and divine no matter how many burnouts you have. burnouts happen to nearly everyone and it’s completely normal! 🍄🐥🌈
sendin good vibez 💜
