Cook my brain, what am I supposed to do?
I love writing scenes like this. I also stole the title from Jack Stauber haha. This is apart of a bigger story but for now I’m only posting small bits -thornyskin

As they lay on their backs, feeling the cold night breeze against there skin, small rocks and twigs stabbing them lightly. The moonlight peaked throughout small holes in the trees and glistened on Alex’s hair. A silky light hazelnut brown. Cameron would just love to comb his hands through, maybe ruff it up, or braid it, absolutely anything.
That was Cameron's opinion on any feature that Alex was gracefully gifted. He wanted to get the most comfortable he could with Alex, he wanted to know every flaw of Alex like it was on the back of Cameron's hand. The thought of it made Cameron go crazy, made his chest feel tight like he couldn’t breathe.
It felt so natural and unnatural at the same time. The feeling to love this man the way he would love a woman, even though the repetition of being told it’s unacceptable, it hadn’t infiltrated his mind yet. The way that Alex had made Cameron act was something that Cameron has never experienced, but being next to him like this, this is when he felt the safest.
It was rather odd. He’s only ever felt this way when he had first met Liam. Cameron’s thoughts on Alex were more intense, even though Liam had provided him with more content to relive in his mind.
Cameron wondered if Alex had some fantasies about Cameron, the same kind that Cameron had about him. The kind that would make Cameron lay awake, unable to go to sleep as too not interrupt his dreams. Cameron wanted Alex to have the same fantasies, and apart of him got jealous of the thought that Alex could be having those thoughts about another person.
Maybe Cameron could tell Alex one day, but for now, he’ll just admire the small quirks about Alex.
“Cameron?” Alex said while rolling to his side, to face Cameron, “Have you been listening?”
“Ah no, I’m sorry, I got a little distracted.” Cameron embarrassing admitted, “Please continue.”
