Stargate SG-1 BTS shots(*≧ω≦)

I actually fully support a Stargate reboot. I just don't think a continuation makes any sense because a fully public, fully funded, fully international SGC with a fleet of battle cruisers tooling around the Milky Way is just Starfleet. SG-1 was at its best - from a storytelling standpoint - when they were the underdogs scrapping for funding to save the world twice per season.

Personally, I'd pull the storyline forward a bit and incorporate the GWOT. The first gate was in Babylon, not Egypt, and the real reason the US invaded Iraq was to recover it. WMDs were just a cover story.

BUT I fully support your fan cast idea. Pullman is an understared powerhouse with a lot of little subtleties in his performance and he'd be perfect for Daniel.

Who would be your fan cast for Sam and Teal'c?

I saw someone on YouTube talking about how Lewis Pullman is their Daniel fancast for a Stargate reboot and look, I'd rather a revival than a reboot or nothing at all but if they're dumb enough to just start from scratch again (because starting over would be dumber than Leverage Redemption-ing it and no I am not accepting constructive criticism at this time), then this is the only thing in my mind that would make it salvageable

Bob Reynolds' hair but lighter plus Bob Floyd's glasses plus both Bobs' personalities combined with an extra dose of nerd, I see it. Especially movie Daniel/early SG-1 Daniel

Like if everyone apparently agrees that he has Milo Thatch energy then he automatically has Daniel Jackson energy because they're basically the same person lmao

Also just pair him up with Wyatt Russell again as Jack I mean Wyatt's dad played Jack in the original anyway and he's got that sarcastic edge to him down pat already like are you starting to understand why Stargate and Thunderbolts* exist in the same space in my brain

Backup recast is Lewis as Jonas who doesn't get banished to the void like he never existed because fight me but I think he'd also pull off that role beautifully
