ā™” how to make lavender milkĀ ā™”
Tumblr media
happy full moon in aries! today i am showing you guys how to make lavender milk ā™”Ā lavender has been prized for centuries for its gentle healing properties & soothing fragrance. as most of you already know, every year i grow lavender in my garden. throughout the season i harvest the plant (when the purple flowers are bright and young), tie the branches together, and hang in a cool dark place to dry. the dried lavender can be used in beauty products, aromatherapy, baking, tea, herbal remedies, spiritual rituals, and in drinks! when ingested, lavender can help promote relaxation and sleep.Ā
lavender milk is floral, pretty, and comforting.Ā the flavour is at once fragrant and light from the flowers, but full, warm, and sweet from the milk and honey. i use nut milk (almond or cashew), because i think the nuttiness pairs well with the slightly bitter lavender, complimented by the addition of raw honey and pure vanilla extract. raw honey, ideally ethically and locally produced, still carries a range of health benefits that processed honey does not. it is antibacterial, antiviral, and soothing. give this recipe a try & experience the healing powers of drinking lavenderĀ ā™”
ingredients:Ā
ā™” 1 cup nut milk (cashew or almond tastes best. if youā€™re allergic, you can use soy, rice, flax, or oat milk. you could also use a flavoured alternative milk- try vanilla!)
ā™”Ā 2-3 tablespoons of lavender, more or less depending on how strong you want the lavender flavour to be.Ā
ā™” 1 tsp of raw honey or more to tasteĀ
ā™” Ā¼ tsp vanilla extractĀ
directions:
in a small pot, combine milk and dried lavender. let simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes (do not boil- the goal is to achieve a nice infusion of lavender, which involves a longer, slower heating process. you donā€™t want to scorch the milk or flowers!), longer if you desire a stronger flavour. youā€™ll notice the lavender beginning to lose its colour. remove pot from heat, strain, and compost the flowers. while itā€™s still hot, dissolve a teaspoon or more of raw honey to taste, and add the Ā¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract. and there you have it, your own lavender milk! fragrant, soft, and delicate. let it lull you to sleep or incorporate it into your relaxation routine. you can try this recipe with a variety of other edible flowers, like rose, chamomile or borage, or a blend of flowers! nothing will make you feel more like a princessĀ ā™”

šŸ’€Unusual Death WitchcraftšŸ’€
Visiting natural history and art museum. Not only for the spirit work (museums are surprisingly rife with spirits) but also the reflection on the objects themselves that are imbued with death energy due to their age.
Kitchen witchcraft with fermentation. Iā€™m talking both home starters/yeasts and drink based fermenting! The process of encouraging fermentation is literally a controlled necromancy if you think about it! Also your own fermented product will be excellent to use in spellwork!
Upcycle crafting! The process of reusing items in a new way that you already had or seeking out items to use instead of letting them become trash is also working with death energy!
Playing death related games or watching movies with friends and family. Death witchcraft tasks and energy work doesnā€™t have to look witchy! If you have a weekly or monthly hangout where you play tabletops like Betrayal at House on the Hill or even online games. Or watch documentaries or movies with loved ones that related that totally counts! Especially as a lower spoon option.
Drawing or photographing abandoned buildings/architecture. So often people forgot that the decay of manmade objects and places do hold death energy and weight. Tapping into this side of death witchcraft can be an interesting experience.
Visiting a 24 hour store or restaurant in the middle of the night. This is a personal experience of mine but that quiet low level liminal space energy is such a similar transitionart energy as to help you grow your experience and sensing of death energy. Also walking through a store at 3am is a good time to practice a walking meditation or some simple spirit communication without too much trouble. Just have your headphones in for an excuse!
Learning to maintain your own compost! Iā€™m hopeless with the green thumb side of things myself but I still have composting I do for my yard in general. My wildflowers and natural growth is lovely because of it! The cycle of your kitchen supplies life and decay is such a simple and deep way to access that death energy and maybe even work your way up to having that green thumb! Also using this compost in spellwork will pack a punch!
What are some unusual ways you experience death witchcraft and energy?

More sigils
Sometimes you need to combine sigils together; it could be for a specific manifestation or for ease of writing with time. Here are four sigils that came from my main affirmations when I started out,
Tumblr media
I am safe, I am loved, I am who I am meant to be, and , I will be at peace.
Then using colour correspondences I created a more ā€˜artisticā€™ grouping. And underneath is a combined sigils made with the same method as the four original ( with a Saturn square). There is a list for each colour, and the sigils read ( in the same order as above) left to right/top to bottom.
Tumblr media
There are many ways to group sigils together; this was one I did for the purpose of making an interesting page for the information.

Witch Tips
Your human too, remember ALL your emotions are valid, no one ( not even witches are perfect )
Donā€™t forget to honor your dark side along with your light side, both require attention to work harmoniously.
Itā€™s ok to not spare your energy with the rest of the world everyday.
You donā€™t ever have to buy ANYTHING to be a witch
Your magic is as strong as your belief in your ability to create it.

So Iā€™m sorta new to witchcraft, and Iā€™m trying to find someone else who I can get help from? So like/reblog this post if you post about anything in the tags! (My family is Catholic, so I canā€™t really practice as much as Iā€™d like, but it would be nice to have a friend/mentor!)
