Third kitty obtained.
She was stuck in an air pocket underwater at work and someone ripped up a board and I grabbed her. She's happy, healthy, and a purrfect bill of health after her first vet visit.

Some of My Favorite Ways to Describe a Character Who’s Sick
pressing their forehead into something cool or comfortable (this could be an array of things. the table, the floor, someones leather jacket, their water bottle, the countertop)
warm to the touch, or heat radiating from them (could be noticed if someone’s gauging their temperature with their hands, hugging them, or just generally touching them)
leaning into people’s touch, or just spontaneously leaning on them (like pressing into their hand when someone’s checking their temp, or just, like, literally walking up and laying their head on them from fatigue. bonus points if the character is usually feral and the other is scared to engage™︎)
falling asleep all over the place (at the dinner table, on their homework, in the car, in the bathroom — just being so exhausted from doing literally nothing)
being overly emotional (crying over things that don’t usually bother them, like their siblings arguing, or their homework, or literally just nothing)
stumbling/careening/staggering into things (the wall, furniture, other people. there is no coordination in feverish brains. running into chairs, hitting the door, falling over the couch, anything and everything)
slurring their words (could be from fatigue or pain. connecting words that shouldn’t be connected, murdering all of their conversations with the excessive use of ‘mm’ and ‘nn’ in place of words) (this is my favorite thing ever)
being overly touchy (basically like a sick kid — just hold them, please. do that thing where you brush their hair back out of their face, or rub circles on their back, or snuggle them. they won’t care. bonus points if this is also the feral character and they refuse to believe it afterwards)
being extremely resistant to touch (flinching away when they usually don’t so someone can’t feel the fever, not letting themselves be touched because they’re so tired they just know they’ll be putty in their hands if they do)
growing aggressive or being extremely rude (it’s a defense mechanism — they feel vulnerable and are afraid of being manipulated or deceived while they’re ill)
whimpering/whining/groaning (this was in my “characters in pain” post but it’s so good that i’m putting it here too. this shite is gold, especially if it’s just an involuntary reaction to their symptoms)
having nightmares caused by a fever and/or delirium (crying and murmuring in their sleep, or being awake but completely out of it and convinced they’re somewhere else)
making themselves as small as possible (curling up into a ball everywhere they lay, hunching over slightly when standing, wrapping their arms around themselves)
TW for vomiting below cut !!
sleeping in the bathroom floor because they keep getting sick over and over (bonus if someone finds them all weak and pitiful. bonus bonus if they find them there in the morning only to learn they’ve been there all night)
using their hands/other body parts to clamp over their mouth so nothing can come out (like pulling their knees up to their chest and using that, or like, their arm, y’know) (~maccreadysbaby who has emetophobia suddenly gets very awkward about this post~) (~yes i have a phobia of puke and still write this happening to my characters, shut up~) (~it’s about the hurt/comfort okay~)
sympathy pukers (people who aren’t the sick ones but get nauseous/vomit when they see someone else throw up) (~aka me~) (~okay I’m done now~)
dry heaving (it’s gross, but good for making your characters absolutely freaking miserable)
rolling/churning/spinning/cramping/ lurching and all those awesome words that describe what stomachs do when sick (i hate these words with a deep, fiery passion. but they’re good for writing or whatever)

Tears are not as a sign of weakness. Your tears are your weapon, a weapon that you can manipulate and control.
What they see is a skin of tragedy — the face of a coward, And when they realise what is underneath, it would be far too late.

could you do another part of Out Of Control if that isn't much to ask? I really love your writing

Hi anons!! I would love to! Thanks for requesting this, here you go!!
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Part 4
Hero stirred in bed. They opened their eyes to see Villain standing at their side.
"Everything's ready for you now," Villain said, "if you're feeling up to it that is."
Hero stretched in bed and sat up.
"Let's do this." Hero replied.
Villain held out their hand for Hero to take. Hero took it and Villain helped them out of bed. If Hero's hand was as cold as it felt, Villain didn't comment on it. Hero was led out of Villain's room, leaving behind a little trail of ice as they walked. Villain led Hero down a series of corridors until they reached a large, metal door with a keypad. Villain punched in the code, which Hero couldn't help but notice was their own birthday, and the door opened to reveal a large room.
"This is where my best inventions are constructed," Villain explained, "and I think I've managed to make something that will help you."
In the center of the room was a metal box with a door.
"It's a box that generates heat," Villain said, "if you use your powers in there, the ice you create will melt quickly and you'll be able to keep using your powers until they're back down to a normal level."
Hero looked at the box. It seemed like a good plan, but still...
"What if the heat is too much?" Hero asked.
"I'll be right outside to pull you out," Villain said, "I won't let anything happen to you."
Hero nodded. They stepped inside the box. Villain closed the door behind them. Hero let their powers truly surface. Ice spread along the floor of the box and up the walls. Hero charged their powers and released an ice beam at one of the walls. Hero felt some warmth return as the cryo-energy was expelled from their body. The more energy Hero released, the more their strength dwindled. When the last of the excess energy was released, Hero dropped to the floor.
Villain threw the door open and rushed inside. They swept Hero up into a bridal carry and brought them out of the box. They lowered Hero to the ground slowly and cupped their face.
"You okay?" Villain asked.
Hero nodded weakly.
"I-"
An explosion brought the wall opposite Hero and Villain tumbling down. Superhero stood outside, with two league members on either side of them.
"Villain," Superhero called, "you're under arrest for the unlawful kidnapping of Hero. Surrender now or we will use lethal force."
"No!" Hero cried.
Hero tried to stand, but the expulsion of cryo-energy had taken all of their strength.
The league members charged in. Villain's arms were secured behind their back and fastened together with a pair of cuffs.
"Do you really think this will hold me? Gah!"
A league member jabbed a syringe into Villain's neck. Villain crumpled to the ground, out like a light.
"Stop!" Hero yelled feebly, " y-you don't know what you're doing, they were helping me! They-"
"Hero, you can't even stand," Superhero said, "I know you want to protect Villain, but do you expect us to believe they didn't do something to you?"
Hero felt a jab in their neck. The other league member stepped aside, holding an empty syringe.
"It's gonna be okay, Hero," the league member said.
Superhero picked up Hero bridal style and began to carry them away. Hero watched through half-lidded eyes as Villain was slung over one of the league members' shoulders.
"No..." Hero whispered.
Hero's eyes fluttered shut, and darkness enveloped them.

Recently-turned-good Villain who joins the heroes being very, VERY nervous, not wanting to lose the chance to prove that they're better now. Wanting to own the heroes' trust. They have a stroke of luck on their first mission-- the villain they capture was carrying a huge amount of cash, some of which the owner gives back to the heroes as thanks. The heroes are pretty happy about it and like to tease whumpee, joking about how they're earning their keep. It becomes an inside joke that gets repeated through Villain's next mission. Villain, paranoid, thinks they look irritated after that one and assumes it's because there was no money. Panicking, he works himself to the bone, trying harder and harder to find villains with something valuable on them to make the heroes happy. Withdrawing from their newfound family because they're just so exhausted from constantly searching and working themself to the death. Eventually they get so desperate that they begin to give money to villains and then capture them, so the heroes will be happy. Then they start robbing banks and committing crimes themself to fund their efforts. It all comes to a head when they get a minor injury. It shouldn't have been a big deal, barely even a bad cut. But their body is so weak, and so susceptible to infection, that they become seriously ill. They're found shivering on the floor of their room, fighting the heroes off and whimpering "they're going to be so mad... i need to go, they'll be m-mad if i dont find more..."
Oh poor baby. Someone hug them. Now.
