Yeehaw I wanted to practice drawing action poses and also I've been in a huge Avatar mood lately so here's a bunch of Avatar charcaters (included little mini Sokka, Suki, Bolin and Mako cuz I felt bad about them not being included)

Do you think Draxum is especially sad about his long-lost son being lost for so long since it's his science son and he could have raised him as his junior mad scientist? All the bonding they could have had over botany, being unhinged nerds together? And on the flip side, was Splinter ever reminded of Draxum when Donnie did his feral scientist shit? Did that ever concern him?

OH yeah, especially since the other turtles never showed a real interest in any science he'd totally be extra salty that the one son that shares his interest in Evil Mad Science happens to be the one son that refuses to join his side. Of course, Donnie is very salty about his dad that shares his interest in Evil Mad Science happens to be the dad that refuses to join his side, so ya know. When Draxum stops being all evil and he and Donnie start bonding they do start doing a bunch of science projects together, so all's well that ends well.

And holy moly I never thought about the possibilty of Donnie reminding Splinter of Draxum goddam. I mean, I have thought a little bit about Splinter being a little bit Concerned about the turtles that he decided to raise on a whim being lab-grown super soldiers in general, like in canon too. Like, he really didn't have much of an idea how these cute baby turtles were gonna turn out as they grew up, as we all know turns out that they all just ended up being (relatively) normal teens, but Splinter wouldn't know that lol. And in the AU especially, where Splinter only gets to raise Donnie, all of Donnie's Draxum-like traits would just be all the more noticable (for all Splinter knew, all the turtles act like this). Of course, Donnie is a good kid, a bit chaotic sure, but he loves his dad and April. And Splinter would know that, so I really don't think it'd really effect how he views and treats Donnie. But I do still like the idea of it always being in the back of his mind, that Donnie, despite not being raised by Draxum, ended up quite similar to him, which is a LITTLE unnerving, just a tiny bit. 🤏
