LMAO yeah a big reason why I decided to go listen to Epic The Musical is because I saw like a million rottmnt edits on tiktok with songs from Epic

The Amazing Devil I discovered because I had watched The Witcher series. I really liked the song Toss A Coin To Your Witcher in the show, and then I saw people point out that Joey Batey (Jaskeir's actor who sang that song) was in a band that made similar music, so I went to listen to them and instantly got obsessed haha.

So my interest in TAD isn't really linked to rottmnt or Epic, but I've seen a lot of other people in the rottmnt fandom like TAD so yeah there's probably a connection there

For the Sep Au, would Donnie be the better fighter since he was trained One-on-One by Splinter (Child Soldier/Literal Gladiator) vs. The Drax Kids having to split their training under Draxum and have different focuses (like Mystic Arts)?

Yeah no see, if Splinter was as diligent with Donnie's training as Draxum was with his sons' training, then yeah Donnie would be about as skilled of a fighter as his brothers, maybe even better in certain aspects

Except Splinter was kinda lax about Donnie's training, he made sure Donnie was able to defend himself if need be but that's about it. Draxum on the other hand put a lot of effort into making sure his kids were as skilled in combat as possible, and maybe he couldn't do as much one-on-one training, but The Drax Bros could also train with each other and help each other grow that way.

Anyway, at the beginning of the AU's story, Donnie's brothers could probably kick his ass if they wanted to 😭 his tech gives him a big advantage in fights, but with his bros it's kinda canceled out by their mystic abilities. The main reason he doesn't get totally beat up by them is because they don't want to hurt him, Raph and Mikey in especially in the beginning don't really wanna fight him at all. Leo initially doesn't get along with Donnie at all so he's fine punching him a little bit lol, but he's still going easy on his estranged brother.

Is it weird drawing a ninja turtle with five fingers?

Listen. I do not like drawing hands, it is very hard and I'm not that good at it. What's fun about drawing TMNT fanart is that the turtles' three-fingered hands are WAY easier for me to draw. Because of that I've had a really fun time drawing the turtles ever since joining this fandom because they have fewer finger, yay me!

But NOOOO of course I get the BRILLIANT IDEA to give Donnie EXTRA FINGERS in the AU which means I'm back to drawing fucking FIVE FINGERS PER HAND AGAIN. AUGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, drawing Donnie's hands with five fingers isn't that weird considering I'm used to doing so on most other humanoid characters. I have gotten a little mixed up from time to time when I'm also drawing the other turtles, like I'll either forget to give Donnie his extra fingers or I'll accidentally give the other turtles too many fingers lmao. I'm even more likely to draw too many fingers if I'm drawing canon Donnie, or Donnie from another AU.
