I doodle a lot in my down time-- mostly free time at work-- but I don't really upload unfinished works anywhere. Figure I could drop them here- the pokemon related ones anyway, since that's where my blog is certainly centered. So, have some varying-quality-papers

Primarily featuring: My two favorite pokemon lines Shinx and Noibat. Hybrid/fusion mons relating to those two, mew + mewtwo oc concepts- and some teeny tiny kanto starters (and croagunk, drawn by my younger brother)

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

All the byootiful flygon art lately from some of my favs here, made me want to share an old hybrid of mine! Combining up my childhood fav dragon with my present fav dragon; the Flarchomp line! :D Traple, Vibrabite, and Flarchomp.

Figuring out colors is hard when there's so many cool combinations... so I wound up making a couple... with shiny forms too, of course!

Another 'mon once mentioned on Jamie's blog; Darren the Flygon! I've gone and decided that Thusa is his father. So he gets some of Papa's features, feathers, and pointy face. :>

Darren is special to me because he's my first ever successful Masuda Method (and hatched in general) shiny, hatched in Soul Silver. My precious minty boy~ <3

So uh...*cough* I um...got a little distracted over the weekend. Rather than working on things I was supposed to, I got fixated on something that was first inspired by Loupy and then further instigated by Phlurrii, so they are to blame for this XD

For a bit of context, I have never ever gotten an ask regarding if Jay even has a pokemon partner (until now that is, thank you Phlurrii X3) I guess people just assumed he didn't have one when in all actuality...he does :3

There's a reason she isn't part of the cast or hasn't been mentioned at all, which I'll explain in a bit. But first, this is Dragonfly

Dragonfly is a sassy girl packed with a LOT of attitude. She is very protective of Jay, so protective that she won't let anyone, not even his own girlfriend around him. Jay is HER human. You're not allowed to touch him. You even look at Jay funny, and you might get bit. And a bite from a Flygon is not pleasant.

I compare Argon's behavior to a dog a lot, and with Dragonfly, it's no different. In her case, she's a big girl with the personality of a small dog. Very much like a chihuahua, her bond with Jay is strong, and she can be hostile towards others, both human and pokemon.

This is the reason why Jay doesn't bring her around when visiting Lakota and the twos. She can be aggressive and does not get along well with others, but adores and is completely devoted to her partner.

I am a firm believer that the creator Gods of all Pokemon should probably be larger than life, and not just the height of a 2-story building?? but- as far as game canon is concerned, that's where we are.

My guy, my dude, my brother in chris-- did you watch the show you're adapting? Sokka's sexism lasts all of like 3 episodes. Suki and the Kyoshi warriors deal with that pretty quickly. Takes all of 1 hour of content to experience growth from the sexist, immature, nut brain. And THAT'S too 'iffy' for audiences?

Pretending real life prejudices don't exist in fiction does way more harm than it ever does good.

Alright now this pissed me off

What do you MEAN you're going to remove one of the most important aspects of Sokka's character arc in the first season? What do you MEAN you're going to remove Sokka unlearning misogyny, accepting change and embracing his role as a fighter and protector of the Avatar in order to end the war? What do you MEAN???

i've been reading up on the Linden mews for a while now, through all the ups and downs... and downs... and even further downs with this poor, emotionally tormented family-- especially Randy. he's just such a human character, the way he aches and expresses, you just feel for him, like a real person and not just a fictional character. i want to see him overcome his anguish in every possible way, coming to terms with himself and who he is. that's what birthed this piece here! so cathartic to see him 'reborn' after all the trauma, finally feel really and truly like himself. new design is gorgeous, of course! but i personally can't wait to see all that his new self brings < 3

I uh.....I may have done a thing yesterday...

So I wanted to doodle something to get back into the groove of things. One thing led to another and I ended up making a new oc...but um, I kinda got attached to him...

This is Legion. He's my smug bastard son, and I love him XD.

He is a type of shadow mewtwo. He wasn't impaled by the shadow synergy stones but his body was infused with synergy energy during his creation, and he has become one with it, causing the crystals to spread and protrude from his body. He remains conscious and compos mentis, having a very charismatic and mischievous personality, despite being the future antagonist. Yup, I decided he will be canon in the distant future events. He's somewhat of a...bounty hunter :>

Times are changing...

It's time again. @xxtc-96xx 's Huey is a full grown 'Two as of today! I thought instead of drawing something silly and meme-y like the last 2 years, I'd do an actual picture. I let Spotify pick a theme for me based on the first song it shuffled- it wound up being Caleb Hyles' Hallelujah collab. And now I've made myself sad.

I've followed the Mew and Mewtwo series since before the baby boi got introduced, and now he's all big. Man, we all get old.

Jumping in! I began my little nerd baby life with a controller in my hands playing the original Spyro the Dragon in ‘99. Kindergarten and first grade had me filling out spiral notebook pages about my adventures with Spyro. I never stopped drawing dragons thanks to the purple boy. Naturally I grew up on Pokemon. I would draw the eeveelutions nonstop, Espeon and Umbreon were the go-tos, due to their more smooth and simple to draw designs. Much later on was Neopets, after I was introduced to the website. My very first was a blue Shoyru named Safire because I couldn’t spell Sapphire. She would consistently starve because I didn’t understand how to make money to buy food. RIP all my neglected Neos.

Spyro and Pokemon stuck as my main drivers for digital art when I started online in 2010! I totally understand Mewtwoandme about that Legend of Spyro phase- I have a three ring binder STACKED THICK with Spyro and Cynder drawings.
