Acne Everything you need to know about acne
Tumblr media
What is my perception of it ??
Overview
Unwillingly, At some point, when we were all teenagers we all suffered from acne and scary pimples. But we need to understand that getting acne is not a very big problem that cannot be beaten.
This common skin condition occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Many times, acne and pimples occur on the face but its effects appear on other body parts also like the back, chest, and shoulders. This is a very big myth that acne suffering happens only during puberty and adolescence. People of all ages whether in their thirties, forties, or fifties suffer from this if they are not so caring for their health and lifestyle.
Acne occurs both in men as well as women. It would be unfair to say that acne means just pimples, blackheads,s or whiteheads, you would be shocked to know how many types are there and their effects on your skin. Acne affects 80% of teenagers and adolescents but is usually mild to moderate in its degree of severity. The consequences of acne are mostly minor, but it carries a risk of poor self-esteem and emotional distress which may not be seen as medically significant.
Even when people do not suffer from this issue in their puberty, the possibility is often very high that they will be attacked in the future. Acne is an issue that if left untreated, will increase further to a greater extent. Improper diet and unbalanced water levels in the human body are a great cause of it. If you are also looking for that basic knowledge of acne that solves all your issues, you have landed on the right article.
Is there any particular age or gender who suffers from this?
No, people of all races and ages have acne issues but it's mostly among adolescents and teenagers as there are sudden hormonal changes in their bodies. It is common both in men and female. During puberty, male suffers more from it while after adulthood, females have more of this issue than males.
Which one do you have?
Symptoms -
•   Whiteheads –  it is the pale or white-topped pustule on the skin.
•   Blackheads –  it is the plug of sebum in a hair follicle, darkened by oxidation.
•   Papules – the pimples and swelling on the skin, often forming part of a rash.
•   Nodules – they are painful and appear as red bumps on your skin.
•   Cystic lesions –   noncancerous growth filled with liquid or a semisolid substance that damages your skin layer causing pain.
Identify your type -
Tumblr media
Causes of acne –
How acne develops?
Acne develops when sebum — an oily substance that lubricates your hair and skin — and dead skin cells plug hair follicles. Bacteria can trigger inflammation and infection resulting in more severe acne.
•   The oily skin is one of the major causes of acne breakout.
Furthermore, there are many other factors on which it depends,
•   If women are near periods days then it is a common reason for pimples and acne breakouts.
•   Pigmentation and acne issues are normal during pregnancy and pcod sufferers also have these issues.
•   Emotional and mental stress is a very significant aspect that causes acne. We all know the effects of taking too much stress and anxiety.
•   High glycemic index food intake will make your acne breakout worsen. Foods like sugary bars, chips, and oily foods are some of these.
•   Not wearing sunscreen is a major fault we all do. Whether men or women, children or aged person, everyone must wear sunscreen 365 days.
•   It also varies genetically. If your parents suffered from acne and pimple breakouts, there are high chance that you would also be suffering the same.
•   To exfoliate the skin or too unhygienic and careless behavior.
•   Using bad quality products or not removing makeup.
•   Friction on the skin by elements like helmets, phones, and packed collars.
Tumblr media
Prevention and myths –
If you are not taking direction and advice from the right place, you might be prone to certain myths about acne breakout which may lead to wrong solutions which would worsen them.
There are some myths I  came through in when I was also having acne-prone skin. So, you also don’t come across the same, I would lead you to the right path
#1st myth – popping and squeezing pimples are an absolute way to get rid of it
= not at all, don’t even think of it or you will be gifted with unwanted lifetime scars.
#2nd myth – if you are suffering from acne, then scrubbing your face would help
= A big no, yeah it's true that scrubbing helps in blackhead removal but acne not only persists blackheads. It has many things and scrubbing it would make it even worse.
#3rd myth = acne is only for teenagers
= no, acne breakout happens to all irrespective of age and gender.
#4th myth = washing your face more and more will help
= No it won't cure your acne it will give you a rough dry skin
#5th myth = toothpaste helps in removing acne overnight
= no, toothpaste won't help in any way, it would just waste your time and resources.
Prevention is always better than cure Now, how to prevent this ????
•   Stay hydrated and apply ice in summer to avoid acne and pimple.
•   Apply moisturizer according to your skin type and of good quality
•   Avoid street food and junk food
•   Morning saliva will help you for sure in the long run
     Go for over-the-counter treatments

•   Keep the pimple and area around it clean

•   Making a few simple and small changes in your lifestyle will help you in the greatest way.
Treatment for acne breakout –
bio-active ingredients that certainly have medicinal properties to target inflammatory conditions like acne.  they work on balancing out sebum production killing acne-causing bacteria, and you will see visible results quickly. These can be used in the initial stage of acne as well. The following are them –
Topical medications -

Benzoyl peroxide –  Clearasil®, Stridex®, and PanOxyl® works as a leave-on gel or wash. They target surface bacteria that are less irritating to the skin.
•   Azelaic acid – commonly found in grains such as barley, wheat, and rye. It kills microorganisms on the skin and reduces swelling.
•   Retinoids –   retinoids such as Retin-A®, Tazorac®, and Differin® break up blackheads and whiteheads and help to prevent clogged pores, the first signs of acne.

Alzheimer’s disease — why and how it happens, prevention and treatment
Tumblr media
happen in aged persons, these behavioral and mental changes affect a lot of young ones also.
Overview
More than 50 million people are there living with this disorder or dementia. Estimates show that around 5.8 million people in the US have Alzheimer’s disease among which 80% are 65 years and above and others are younger onset.
If you see the following signs in one, there may be a higher risk of Alzheimer’s –
- Fail to recall the recent ceremony and talks are the early indicator.
- They may forget to do the necessary routine of everyday which they have been doing for years.
- Mental confusion and concentration become difficult.
- Often dehydration and sudden weight loss or weight gain are an extreme mark.
What are the exact symptoms of Alzheimer’s?
The essence of Alzheimer’s is memory dropping. As it grabs the person’s brain, this impairment becomes worse.
If a person is well aware of this, they must visit the doctor at the right time for the right treatment. The inconvenience of Alzheimer’s grows with –
- Inability to learn new things
- the person is confused about the evening hours of the day is it morning or afternoon, or is it breakfast time or lunchtime?
- the person becomes isolated, socially inactive and restless.
- anger and mood swings hamper them.
- no more trust in others And their daily schedule becomes confused.
- loss of appetite is a common symptom.
Stages of Alzheimer’s disease –
• early stage of Alzheimer’s
It is the very beginning of this disorder. Greater signs can not be seen at this stage. A person may do all the work properly. But may feel unhealthy and appetite loss from the inside. Only a few symbols of Alzheimer’s can be seen in this stage like misplacing objects and forgetting the names of known people.
• Middle stage of Alzheimer’s
A person suffering from Alzheimer’s stays at this stage for years or months and needs the most care and affection at this time. Mood swings depression and frustration grab them, the brain cells start damaging and the person starts losing control over their life of everyday tasks. Symptoms can be seen moderately at this stage example failing to recall their information, phone number, parents’ name, school they have studied through and certain behavioural are visible.
• Last stage of Alzheimer’s
This is the severe and most dangerous stage of this disease after which the result is nothing but death. He or she becomes isolated, separated, and distrusted because the brain’s working cells become worse. If attention is not given at this stage, the situation becomes worse than ever for that person. One needs alarm reminders to perform important tasks. Physical inabilities like pneumonia surround them. They need support, care, comfort and confidence as this is the end of their living.
Doctor’s diagnosis –
The doctor first prepares several tests to assess memory power, social skills, behavioural changes and other brain function inabilities to check the stage of the person. They also scan their brains through CT, MRI, and PET to diagnose the patients.
certain causes and risk factors of Alzheimer’s disease
Since the exact cause of this disorder has not yet been extracted, studies, research and books answer this question to some level. When the brain proteins fail to function normally and start damaging, it is believed to be a cause of Alzheimer’s disease. It is also believed to be caused due to genetic changes.
Alzheimer’s is more likely to affect a person by plaques ( toxic effects on neurons that disrupt the communication between cells ) and tangles ( disrupts the transport system ).
• Age factor is also a reason and is normal that people tend to forget things with age and time.
• Genetics / parental history is a major reason
• People with Down syndrome more likely to suffer from this
• Unhealthy lifestyle like going out in pollution and dirt, always wearing helmets, higher level of stress, alcohol dependence, no sleep routine, lack of exercise and meditation, high blood pressure and cholesterol, diabetes also Alzheimer’s disease
• People who have mild cognitive impairment have a high risk of developing this disorder.
Prevention methods –
Although Alzheimer’s is inescapable through medicines or anything but can be adjusted and reduced by certain lifestyle changes. Living in a healthy environment with inspirational conditions of choices can help adapt to the risk of Alzheimer’s.
• Eating rich nutritious and fibre fruits and foods which have low fats like nuts, berries, and leafy greens would help
• Regular exercise and meditation would help in fighting any health issue. Do not skip.
• Visit a doctor regularly
• Quit smoking/alcohol if you do
• Have a good sleep cycle
Various myths have also been created about Alzheimer’s Following are such you must know.
• Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are the same
= no, there is a difference. Where dementia is impaired memory and thinking, Alzheimer’s is a cause of it. Know this difference.
• Only aged people suffer from this
= The risk factor is higher in aged ones but the Youngest also suffer from Alzheimer’s
• There is no treatment for Alzheimer’s
= Treatment like medications are available but it’s not 100% curable right now.
• It is always Alzheimer’s disease if you forget things
= no, it is not necessary and it’s normal sometimes or you may be suffering from some other disease. Talk to your doctor.
• Drinking or cooking in aluminium pits can become a cause of Alzheimer’s disease = no, none of the studies verify this.
Treatments for Alzheimer’s disease
A person suffering from Alzheimer’s needs to have patience and confidence as a single medicine or method can not cure it. Several drugs are approved by US FDA which helps to reduce the symptoms and can help in the short run.
Medicines are there for the first two stages of Alzheimer’s. Let me know about those.
• Quality life and environment
• Other remedies like vitamin E, omega 3 fatty acids, and ginkgo also have medicinal properties which temporarily help.
Frequently asked questions –
# Is Alzheimer’s hereditary

More than 10 million cases of anemia come up every year in India and 30% of the world population suffers from this. anemia is a signature given by the body that something is not proper. Iron deficiency is the biggest cause of anemia and responds in different ways in different bodies, it may be mild or moderate in one’s body and may be severe in other ones.

If you follow vegan you may not eat meats and many other foods which are necessary for a complete diet but it’s not necessary that you will suffer from anemia because anemia is the cause of many deficiencies, not only nutrients.
# Anemia is largely genetic
anemia can transfer genetically but it doesn’t need to be always genetic. It mostly happens due to deficiencies in one.
How do doctors diagnose anemia?
Doctors perform several tests for the patient to diagnose anemia.
• Complete Blood count samples and urine tests are performed to check anemia
• Bone marrow is also studied for anemia diagnosis
• Red blood cells are examined for the shape, size, and color of the cells
• Colonoscopy of your stools can also be performed if necessary
How to treat anemia
The first and foremost rule is to visit a doctor.
Different anemia disease is treated differently.
• Iron deficient anemia is treated by taking enough iron supplements and through transfusion.
• Surgery is placed for internal bleeding
• Genetic disorders require bone marrow transplant
• Erythropoietin is supplied for CKD anaemic treatment
• Proper amount of vitamins and drugs help resolve them

Is being vegetarian a way to a better life?
Tumblr media
Before knowing that vegetarians are more healthy than non-vegetarians, you must understand the fact that everything in a preferable limit is the best way to live an awesome healthy life.
Being a Non – vegetarian is a choice. Also meat, fish, and eggs are important for
one as they provide vitamins, amino acids, muscle building, and many more advantages and also maintain the food chain of nature. But when a certain limit exceeds this, can lead to many consequences like high blood pressure, cancer disease, heart disease, and others.
But would it be right to say that leaving non – vegetarian is a great choice?
Is it better for one to stay vegetarian?
Tumblr media
One must know that being vegetarian can lead to many vitamins, calcium, and other deficiencies in the human body. So firstly let's know about all the pros and cons of this
1. Proper Protein nourishment is provided to the body.
2. Chicken and meats are the best sources of iron which is again
important for blood flow.
3. Non-veg like fish have omega-3 that sharpens one’s brain and are good
for a healthy heart.
4. Our bones and teeth get far much stronger as calcium is provided more in
non-veg than in veg foods.
5. They rebuild our body tissues and rejuvenate skin providing a glowing
skin, healthier and shiny hair.
Also, some of the consequences of being non – vegetarian are
1. Higher risk of cancer and kidney disease
2. Heart ailments
3. High blood pressure and hypertension
4. Tuberculosis and dermatitis
5. Joint inflammation-related disease
6. Cognitive decline
7. Digestion issues
8. Increased level of cholesterol
Now the question arises whether being vegetarian is better than of non –
Vegetarian?
This is the toughest competition among all whether to eat vegetarian or
non – -vegetarian Studies and research show that in the 19th century, majority of the people
were vegetarian only but the situation has completely taken a turn today where 71% of the Indians are non – vegetarian.
According to modern science, eggs, mutton, chicken, fish, pork and other non – vegetarian foods are very important as they are highly rich in proteins, niacin, selenium, and vitamin b12. However, it is proved by American researchers that any protein derived from animal products leads to cancer.
The proper viewpoint of modern science keeps on changing. But white meats are safe and positively rich in proteins.
What does Ayurveda say?
Ayurveda says that our mood depends on what we eat. Ayurveda states that
there can be three types of foods – satvik ( mode of goodness), rajasic ( mode of
passion), tamarisk ( mode of ignorance ). Ayurveda has discovered that when
an animal comes to know that this is the end of his time, he feels a certain kind
of painful vibration in themselves, the same vibration in some or another way comes
in their meat which when eaten leads to certain mood swings like anger,
lethargy, depression, and ignorance.
Ayurveda has also stated the benefits of eating meat but in the following cases
1. Meat should be wild
2. It should be fresh
3. If there is no other option of food available to eat In simple language, primitive humans prefer such food. Protein is absorbed in the body when one eats high pranic foods like dal, and sprouts and not the dead species. Nature has not made humans eat carnivores. Our body parts also like teeth, guts, and nails are made to eat and digest vegetarian only in a way. In conclusion in Ayurveda, humans should fulfill their needs with the least harm and violence to others. Non veg should be abstained but it is the choice of the person.
If one wants to be mentally also strong along with being physically strong, one
should prefer vegetarianism only. And if they think that fitness goals can't be achieved being vegetarian then Amen Ra, Scott Jurek, and Venus Williams are some of the best examples of athletes who have achieved their goals by being Vegetarian.
One who wants to achieve their fitness goals through vegetarianism may need to focus
more on their diet and deficiencies can also be met if a proper diet plan is
prepared.
Cow milk is 100℅ suggestable as Ayurveda also recommends it.
If you cannot completely leave non–vegetarian, try keeping them at the least avoid packet milk products, and focus more on vegetarian foods. At
the last, the choice is all yours.
