I haven't posted in here in ages, but I'm trying to get as many eyes on this as possible. My name is Vivi (legal/deadname unfortunately plastered all over documents for proof). I'm trying to get help raising funds for my rental arrears to NOT GET EVICTED. The description in the gofundme link is more detailed, but read on for more info:

I live in New York City, and I'm just trying to not be homeless after being in court for a year. My time is starting to run out, and I'm desperate. I've lived in my home since I was 5, and now I am 30. Everything I've ever known has happened here- family gatherings, family fights, life and death. I sleep in the same room my father passed in when I was 10. I don't want to leave under an eviction, my whole life is here. I don't have family that I can live with, or friends, and I don't want an eviction on my record. Honestly, I'm pretty scared. I just want a simple little life with my little cat.

I fell behind after getting laid off from my last job because of COVID, my rental assistance got severely mishandled, because of COVID. I tried my best to be productive, I got off of unemployment and started my job at Starbucks, working myself up to a promotion that I feel is a double edged sword. I don't have a social life, don't get to treat myself to luxuries, my mental and physical health have both tanked in the last few years. I've wanted to demote, but I refused to because I wanted to be able to (just barely) afford living in NYC, and try to minimize my debt. I've been current with my rent for a long time, paying extra little by little, but it's been over a year since court proceedings started and I will soon run out of time.

I'd appreciate any spares or shares so so much. I've included pictures of all my payments and my last stipulation of settlement to show that I'm not just sitting around about this. My rent portion is 869 monthly, so I'm trying to show that I'm paying and have been for a while. I only did a portion of what I owe for GoFundMe because I expect my tax return soon and can keep paying some extra a month. I've also attached a screenshot to show all of my GoFundMe payouts are going immediately and directly to my rent.

i hate how tumblr has changed. i miss being able to go through likes by /page/(number), same for my dashboard and same for searching tags. its annoying. is there any way to still or is it just gone forever

like it all counts as you being on the same page now on the search function to and if you press back you just go to whatever actual page you were on last, not the page in the tag. its annoying

absolutely not the only one!! It applies to other things for me. my brain cannot imagine orientation/size at all.

the example i used to use was mario and waluigi? I’d make mario really really squashed and tiny in my brain but walluigi was massive. i couldnt think of anything else to really describe this well. the ellipses works better. I can’t imagine ellipses right in my head either. ones way too big. one might be a different color. theyre wobbly because im trying to make them identical but they just dont wanna

This is a real abstract thing to try and put into words but does anyone else find it impossible to visualize ellipses correctly in their head? Like if I try to think of “…” I absolutely can’t mentally picture three identical periods. My brain makes one of them larger. It forces me to focus more on one than the other two no matter what. It’s not the only thing I can’t make my brain imagine “right” however hard I try but it’s one of the most mundane and commonplace things I have that issue with.

[7/28] my wife has a new job that they’ll be starting august 12th, but right now we only have $40 and there’s a solid chance that that’s all the money we’ll have until they get their first paycheck. we’re almost out of food and i’ve been getting very sick recently and may need to go to the hospital.

If I have a concept for a 10-15 page biology book for kids, kind of like what I did for Spiderween,  does anyone know a publisher to go to? I wouldn’t want to do that print-on-demand kind of thing, I’d want to try kickstarting a print run! I’m already working on a novel I’m about 70% through so I know A publisher but I figure this would be like a chunkier little hardcover or cardboard book, I think there’s special companies for that

anyway animal rights activism will be inherently disingenuous and indeed actively harmful unless y’all recognize that 1) not every country has industrialized the consumption of meat to the extent that the west has 2) you absolutely need to prioritize human beings over animals given that basic humanity isn’t even afforded to a large fucking portion of the human population 3) your experiences are not universal and humans have been living off the land sustainably for literal millenia 4) capitalism is your enemy not poor people & people of color 5) stop fucking making slavery/holocaust anaologies. those are actual human beings. thanks
