If this dude actually has a masters in psychology then he should KNOW narcissistic abuse isn’t a thing. Narcissists don’t abuse in any different way than any other abuser.

“Narcissist” is not a colloquial term you can just use for someone who is selfish because IT IS A DIAGNOSABLE DISORDER. Not everyone with NPD is selfish and abusive. Not everyone without NPD is selfless and kind.

The term only became a popular word for someone egotistical in recent years BECAUSE of the internet.

Egotist = selfish, self-worshipping, treats others poorly, doesn’t care about others

Narcissist (NPD) = high sense of self-importance as a way of seeking validation and attention due to lack of self-esteem usually from a traumatic childhood, struggles with empathy but can still care and want others to be happy, can treat others well when treated with patience, kindness and appropriate boundaries
