Well, it's time to slowly post new works, while everything else is in progress and while I started working on two dtiys.. A couple of months ago I finally watched Dungeon of Deliciousness and immediately wanted to depict Senshi, my favorite😋✨

In the meantime, I'm posting wip, which are still in the process. The session starts on Monday, I'll try to make progress in the work process. Vpn on the iPad still doesn't work, I'll try from the PC later. It's not designt to leave the audience without food…

Finally, the hands came to post the work from the long-past event #point_of_see_04. We drew again according to the given reference, the topic was any. This time I reworked it and the girl from the picture became Robin (Zaryanka)!

By the way, my new colouring and rendering technique began with this work, which you could already see in the contest works with mermaids. It was suggested to me by a cool acquaintance, more precisely, he showed me how to do it, I tried a similar method and I liked what came out of it))

6/6 Koschei the Immortal

Final! The last work in the series, I made it, hurray! My Koshchei is clearly not a half-disrepaired old man, as it is usually customary to see him, but is young and handsome, even a little feminine. He's immortal for a reason, isn't he? Fresh, beautiful and maybe even somewhere there is a thin nature inside (hidden in a hare, duck, egg and needle)

Koshchey Immortal (probably from bone, the original meaning is "thin, skinny"). Initially, he was the lord of the dead, like Hades. In folklore - an evil wizard and necromancer, whose death is "hidden" in several magical animals and objects embedded in each other. Repeatedly acts as the kidnapper of the main character's bride. Often depicted as a thin tall old man.

In Russian folk tales, he appears in two main guises: a king and a sorcerer with supernatural power, on a horse or without, kidnapping beauties.

5/6 Dobrynya Nikitich

Of course, he is not the King of the Sea, but he has a trident. Logic suggests that there should have been a sword, but... the story is silent.

According to the epics, Dobrynya Nikitich is the son of the Ryazan voivode Nikita. Bogatyr is smart, educated and distinguished by a variety of talents: he is dextrous, twists on the leg, shoots perfectly, swims, plays tavlei, sings, plays the harp. As a rule, the image of Dobrynia is clearly and definitely outlined in the epics. He has courage and great physical strength, while he is characterised by "courage" - that is, courtesy and diplomacy. Dobrynya spoke "in 12 languages and knew the conversation of birds".

4/6 Water

Here begins the male half of the characters, there is very little left! My Water turned out, of course, to be peculiar. In the process, I couldn't decide whether he was pathetic, or disgusting or something else. The plot came up with itself, so that's how he came out hungry, wounded and unhappy..

Water - in Slavic mythology, the spirit that does in the water, the master of the waters. The embodiment of the water element as a negative and dangerous beginning. Water demons are considered typical representatives of Slavic demonology. According to legends, they are fallen angels, thrown by God from heaven and caught in water spaces. Although the water one has a separate image, ideas about it often merged with mermaids and the devil.

It is believed that the water man loves deep water, lives in mudles, whirlpools, in wormwood, on abandoned water mills, and especially likes the place near the wheel, under the mills or sluices, at the bottom of the river, where he has his own palace.

3/6 Tsarevna - Frog

I wanted to depict a kind of swampy area, well, where without a caught arrow from Ivan Tsarevich! There was a frog, became a mermaid.

The character of this fairy tale is a beautiful girl, usually with knowledge of witchcraft and forced to live for a long time in the form of a frog. The king ordered his three sons to marry, and the brides to choose as follows: to stand in the open field, to shoot at random from the bow one arrow, - on whose yard the arrow will hit, to marry that girl. Ivan Tsarevich's arrow hit the swamp.

He found his arrow near the frog he had to marry. The frog, unlike the wives of Ivan Tsarevich's brothers, perfectly copes with the tsar's tasks for daughters-in-law with the help of witchcraft. When the king invites Ivan and his wife to a feast, she arrives in the guise of a beautiful girl. Ivan Tsarevich secretly burns her frog skin, which incurs an evil curse - the Frog disappears. Ivan goes in search of his wife, finds her at Koshchei the Immortal and frees his beloved from imprisonment.

But Koschei the Immortal, in this series of works, will be the final character!

2/6 Firebird is ready!

Tomorrow, expect the Queen of Frog right away, she is also ready to appear before your eyes.

The firebird was understood as the personification of fire, light, sun. The extraction of this bird is a difficult task and is one of the main tasks that the king (father) gives to his sons. Only the gentle youngest son manages to fulfil it.

According to the Russian fairy tale, each feather of this bird "is so wonderful and bright that if you brought it to the dark upper room, it would shine as if a great number of candles were lit in that room". The bird has a golden colour. This feature, like its golden cage, is due to the fact that the bird comes from another ("thirtieth") kingdom, from where everything painted in gold colour comes.

I didn't turn the bird itself into a mermaid, but made it half-human to begin with. Yes, it is not covered with fire and does not shine with golden light, but I added fire to the work - fiery red hair, bright Khokhloma on the tail, fiery fins and bright goldfish.

1/6 The Snow Maiden is ready!

According to a folk tale, the Snow Maiden is a girl made of snow by childless old people, and revived. In Russian culture, the Snow Maiden is also known as the granddaughter of Santa Claus and his constant companion, acting as a mediator between children and Santa Claus.

I took snow-white skin, frost-red cheeks and lips, blue eyes and blonde hair as the basis of her image. Well, where is the snow girl without ice!

In order not to create silence, I post WIPs for the contest. I've already filled the female characters with colour and textures. I take on the male characters and after all the render. I really hope that I will make it to everyone by May 30th. I'm busy preparing for the session at the university((

The most important thing I'm more time busy with now is the preparation for the contest "MERMAY: Russian fairy tales" from the ARTCOSMOS school!

For the competition you need to submit from 6 works until the end of May, where the characters of fairy tales in the form of mermaids are offered from the list!

I have Snow Maiden, Firebird, Princess Frog, Water, Dobrynya Nikitich and Koschei.

As promised, I'm talking about the work for the event #point_of_see_03. We were given a reference, which I decided to rework into a kind of portrait of my OC. Who doesn't know you, meet Kat Wilson, she's a student at Tolt City Main University, a photographer, organiser of MetalRose Bend and just part of the university newspaper team. Here, based on the reference, I depicted her with one of her pets, namely the python albino Sanders. Kat loves to get Sanders out of his terrarium on "bad days", keep him on bend and stroke him.

The holidays are coming to an end and while I'm preparing works for the competition, I'm running to you again with a VIP for the event #point_of_view_03

The task for the event was to rework the reference that was given to us.

It's time to show the sketch for the second work for the event #point_of_sew_02. This time the topic was Monster High. And here we were also divided into subtopics - realism or redesign. In my case, I did a small redesign in the style of my beloved Draculaura, added a little modern vintage rather.
