(hey guys I'm posting a drabble? After not writing for a while so this one might be a bit more weak, I'm rusty lmao. Hope it makes you feel something still)

Come back
Where have you been lately? I've been waiting here as time passes by, as things around me shift and change. Should i trust that you'll come back? Or will I end up as another stone casted away and taken by the rivers of sadness, being worn out by my own tears of sadness and pain as I'm slowly forgotten, slowly fading away from your mind.
My heart aches for your return, it yearns for those happy moments we've shared in the past, and most of all, it misses the warmth of your company, that same warmth that was extinguished by the cold embrace of loneliness a long time.
Maybe I'm a fool for waiting, but I'm too loyal to give up on you and leave, love is painful, but also a strong fuel for determination, such a blessing curse that falls on me, too many times and too easily, so painful like a knife cutting deep into me once I realise our paths won't cross together anymore.
Now I must move on, without you by my side, without your presence in this turbulent journey for freedom.

My Demise
I look out the window
These bars are getting thicker,
I look at my feet
These chains are getting heavier,
I look above me
This boulder is getting bigger,
I look at my body
And it's getting weaker.

Childhood's Melancholy
Today's another day,
I see you coming
Carrying a fragment of my childhood in your hands,
But things aren't the same
The amount of sadness I feel at that sight
People who used to be, are no longer
And even tho it's just me, you still bring
That sweet but bitter piece,
Someone else cuts a slice of it for me
No longer the same one,
I take a bite for happiness
And got sadness in return.

Thoughts of a Prisoner
Treat me well
And you can tell,
How beautiful it is to see
Someone who is caged to be free,
Give me the wings that I need
So that I can feel,
I don't want to be caged anymore
Because I feel sore,
From your chains
That gives me pain.

Hello everyone! This is the side blog of my main blog @lovingstarfishsandwich where I'll publish my poems and some short drabbles in a separate blog!
If you don't know who I am, my name is Tortle! I go by she/her and English is not my first language, so if you see any grammar error please be nice about it!
I'm 21 years old and I write poems and short (or even long) drabbles! Most of them are sad but I'm currently trying to work on making happier ones!
Anyways that's it I hope y'all enjoy my writing and if there's a poem that needs a trigger warning tag don't hesitate in asking me to tag it as such! Last thing I want is my work to be harmful to others! :)
