The Kingdom of Kalon:

Long ago, the world of Ilmestys was prosperous, a world well loved by its gods, verdant and lush. But as it developed, the people of the world grew less interested in their gods and more interested in rapid growth and power. Soon, the world was embroiled in war as greed and jealousy took hold of the hearts of men, threatening to consume the entire world regardless of its citizens desires.

One country amongst them was a massive but peaceful one, stretched thin by the war despite their continuous efforts to provide for not only their people but many refugees. This country, known as Kalon, was one of the few remaining footholds where tradition and progress both thrived in tandem, and as the world grew more grim, the entire nation performed a ceremony as one. They appealed together to the gods of their world to save them, to not waste their efforts at creating a beautiful world. The pantheon of Ilmestys was in agreement: to allow all of their hard work in creating this world to be destroyed so carelessly would be an awful waste. However, the nation had been using magic to defend from attacks, and in the moment that all of their magic was focused on their ritual, they were made vulnerable. The people grew alarmed, scared as projectiles approached on the horizon, all much too tired to do anything. But their Queen, a talented seer and medium, held no fear. Their prayers had been answered, and the projectiles never made their mark. The nation of Kalon was lifted by the gods into the sky, protected by a shield of magic clouds, waiting for a day in the future where life would not be such a struggle while the war raged on below them.

Many centuries have passed, and much of Ilmestys' surface is now a waste land. But the nation of Kalon remains prosperous despite the changes in geography caused by their ascent to the sky. Here, they are high enough that the gods even walk amongst them on occasion. The islands in the sky extend beyond Kalon, offering a world of opportunity to its inhabitants. At the same time, there are still plenty of cities for characters to explore and much to do. Kalon utilizes magic to create inventive ways of transportation, communication, and otherwise, still dedicated more to caring for their citizens than they do of the concept of money. There is plenty to go around in Kalon, and people work because they want to, not because they have to. Many folks of all shapes, sizes, species, and magic proclivities all prosper in Kalon— but is this world really as happy as it seems?

• 🌙 18+ 🌙 : All members must be above the age of 18. If you are found to be lying about your age, you will be banned permanently.

• 🌙 Inclusivity 🌙 : This server is oriented to be a safe space for the marginalized. Absolutely no bigotry allowed.

• 🌙 Literacy 🌙 : Literate to novella– a standard reply should be at least 3 beefy paragraphs regularly. You need to have consistently good grammar and spelling— occasional mistakes are fine, but do try to write well.

• 🌙 Respect 🌙 : Be respectful! I have a no tolerance policy for bullshit and take it seriously. If someone says no to rp or shipping or anything of the like, respect that. Likewise, no using slurs as slurs or anything of the like. Absolutely no blocking mods.

• 🌙 Spam 🌙 : Consistent spam, being a troll, or raiding the server will result in being reported and banned. Try to keep conversation in relevant channels.

• 🌙 Self-promoting 🌙 : No self promoting. It is alright if you provide social media to people with permission in dms, but that should not be your only purpose here. If you have a server you want to promote, ask the owner about a partnership via dm.

• 🌙 Characters 🌙 : Any species allowed so long as all powers can logically be explained. All characters need to be approved, but powerful characters especially need to be approved. You can only pitch an idea for a deity once you have three active ocs. Positions as an antagonist will open as the plot advances. No auto hitting, controlling other people's characters, or generally doing anything impactful without prior communication and consent from others. Characters must be 18+. To submit a character, create a thread for your ocs in the character submission channel and post the filled out template in it, either just directly into the thread or as a Google docs link. Then mention a mod in the character discussion channel to let us know when you're done. We'll react to your submission with a ✨️ if your character is approved.

• 🌙 Shipping 🌙 : Really going to emphasize no manipulating people or pressuring them into ships, and absolutely under no circumstances can you decide a ship for your character without talking to the other person first.

• 🌙 Triggering Content 🌙 : Triggering content is generally allowed, but please try to spoiler and tw it.

• 🌙 NSFW 🌙 : If you have an nsfw rp planned, please label your thread as nsfw. If your thread turns nsfw, please change the thread title to reflect this. As stated in the spam rule, nsfw needs to stay in the appropriate channels. This is an rp server, not a dating hub; don't treat this as a place to hook up.

• 🌙 Structure 🌙 : Roleplays should be done in threads as to not clog channels. If your thread is a general one open for responses, please put something to denote this in the title of the thread. Likewise, if it is closed, indicate it in the title and mention the people you want in the thread in a message to add them directly. ⭐️ You must use tuppers for rp. ⭐️
