Weird/potential gross question? How do injuries/wounds/scars work in your Elemental Au? Like how did Wade scarred over? Does scarring or healing of injuries vary depending on the Element?

Not weird at all I LOVE talking about element biology!! Tysm for asking!! /g

In my AU specifically, elements can bleed! Not exactly sure about the biology behind that yet, but they do bleed!! They can regenerate, but only if they're hurt by an element specific thing, such as water falling on a fire person. Which then, they would eat firewood to regenerate; but most of the time they get hurt by things that don't allow them to regenerate.

Wade's injury can't be fixed because of what he was attacked with. He was shot in the eye with an exploding ice arrow !! Which basically "cauterizes" a wound and keeps it frozen over, which harms every element! It keeps them from regenerating their physical forms. It's made from an unnamed chemical (thus far) and it doesn't melt!! Most weapons are made from ice and fire.

Fire and water people would heal the fastest depending on the injury, while land and air people take a little bit longer.

If, for example, a fire person is stabbed, that wound would bleed and turn black. It would be as if the surrounding area was burnt, since it's turned to ashes. These types of injuries don't take very long to heal, and are replenished by flames over time. About 2 weeks!!

Same with water people, they're usually immune to being stabbed, but let's say if they weren't, their injuries would bleed and the surrounding area would turn a darker, more murky color. It wouldn't take long to regenerate, maybe around 3-5 days? Unless it's frozen over, which never heals.

If an air person is stabbed, they bleed as well. Their blood is more like mist, however, and they lose blood quickly. The healing process is a little longer, about 3-4 weeks because to heal a wound the air person needs to go through condescension in the wound.

Earth people bleed slowly, but their wounds take a very long time to heal. Their blood is sticky like syrup as well. Wounds take about 1-2 months to fully heal.

Wounds can also infect if not properly wrapped and it's possible for an element to bleed out as well. I might make concept doodles soon <3

Since your Ember and Wade are both autistic, do they have any stims? How is their autism displayed in general? (How they Talk for example?) (Question from an Aspie😊)

OMG OMG 10/10 QUESTION TYSM FOR ASKING THIS I am also autistic :3 so I'm very excited to talk abt this!!

I'll do it by section!!

Ember: Her stims are flapping her hands and wagging her tail mostly! when she's upset she holds her head in her hands and she often rocks back and forth to calm herself down ! She brushes her skirt down a lot with her hands! When Wade and Ember get together, she stims by running her hands over his vest bc she likes the texture LOL She is also prone to hitting herself when she's upset! She has very aggressive stims

Wade: He also flaps his hands! He listens to music to stim mostly, but since almost all electronics don't work, he sings instead!! When they start dating, she sings for him bc she knows he likes it :3 He also likes pressure and lets Ember lay down on him!! When he's upset he touches the bandages on his eye.., he likes the texture and it's a little comforting for him.

They both have trouble with social cues and Ember is prone to going nonverbal! They both know ASL, so communication isn't hard for them in that aspect...

Ember is very bad at understanding jokes, and Wade doesn't know when to draw the line when it comes to jokes and can say mean things. Wade's voice is also very monotone when he's not comfortable around someone ! And ember is very bad at controlling her tone

In terms of special interests... I think Ember's would be glassmaking and flowers ! Especially a Vivisteria flower (she knows everything abt it)

Wade's spinterest would be music! He also really likes archery but since his injury, he hasn't been able to do it due to bad depth perception.

But all in all, they are autistic and I love them both dearly, here's some stim doodles for u :3

How would Ember and Wade slowly fall in love, from enemies to "Friends" to trusted friends to lovers?

I'll try to explain this the least spoilers I can manage, but they start off as enemies to "friends" after a long while of them sparring and kicking each other out of their individual sides' borders. They can't bring themselves to not talk to each other. They start to like each other on a low level, but it's covered by like... A thick veil of indoctrinated hatred for each other.

Then, something happens to Ember, and Wade finds her and saves her. He takes her to his side of the border, where all the water people live, and thankfully he had an empty house with no other residents.

From then on Ember developed/realized she had a crush on him and Wade is oblivious to this...

Until later, Ember puts down her 'tough girl' front and shows that she cares for him. Then he realized he had feelings for her as well. Wade opens up about what happened to him (and Ember makes a huge mistake that'll be revealed later) and he confesses how he feels about her

After that, they stay together for a while, and they even try to convince their families of a possibility of a water-fire relationship.

But something happened after, which resulted in... Something bad happening in their relationship.

BUT they fix it! :) You'll have to see what happens in the future comic that I'll make <3

How far have you planned to do the Elemental Au? Like future plot points, how it ends or is it a work in progress?

It's a work in progress!! I do have future plot points and most things worked out including the ending of it all !! I'm still thinking of a media to present it in (most likely a comic) so we'll go along from there :)

I'm just figuring this out as I go along, but I do have a beginning and end figured out, and the in-between is being made as I think it up!! <3

Another question, what did Ember do that make her an outcast?

Let's say her temper got the best of her and she caused "mild" destruction and permanently tainted her image among strangers

In other words, stress made her snap and she caused a wildfire that created strains between each element group (yikes!!)

It wasn't her fault of course, but in the situation they're in, they don't care much for specifics or reasoning

About your Elemental Au? Could you provide more background details about it?

Gladly!! (Tysm for the ask I love talking abt the au LOL) It's still a work in progress, but the entire au is centered around all the elements trying to survive after a disaster !!

They're in a survival of the fittest situation, each living in an environment not entirely suited for them but they make it work. Land people have it the easiest, and water people have it the hardest (due to the environment); Fire and air are about in-between. Fire people still, however, face prejudice in this AU !!

The storyline is pretty fantasy centered, since it does include horror along with drama and action! And violence, of course :P

Wade was assigned as his family's protector (against his will) after his father died, and he couldn't deny it because he blames himself for what happened to him. He lost his eye permanently during an attack, which is why he wears a bandage over it. He's different from canon Wade, he's grown rough over the years and unfortunately isn't very emotionally open anymore :(

Ember is considered the city's outcast and she spends most of her time in the forest keeping watch on intruders. She does this as a way of redeeming herself after causing a bad situation but the only people who really recognize her efforts are her parents. She doesn't know what personal space really is, so she's prone to jumping on top people.

Swords aren't their only main weapons! They use bows and arrows, knives, and guns if they have access to it.

This is set in modern day society if it regressed from previous advances!! So modern technology exists, it's just not very. Usable 😭

Ember and Wade meet after he gets lost in a forest and Ember is on patrol, and she (of course) confronts him. The rest is a story that I'll post about <3

I'm planning to make a comic or maybe an animatic series for it, I'm not sure which media I'll use but we'll see !!
