Hello! I know we are all very excited about a new Papa and, potentially, new ghouls. However, there are some things we wish to remind people. Please take time to read this.

Do NOT names the new ghouls just yet

New ghouls are exciting to have, yes, but we should not immediately name them. Let them have time to shine with their personalities.

2. Don't go searching for the actors/musicians of the new ghouls

I'm sure the actors/musicians of the ghouls are very talented individuals, but some want their privacy and do not want to be put in front. If the actor/musician decide to reveal themselves as one of the ghouls then that is fine. If you do manage to find the name of one of the new ghouls please do not spread it around. Again, they may want privacy.

3. Separate the ghoul from the actors/musicians

This one is huge. I do hope you guys didn't forget what happened with Jutty last October. While it was terrible, this does not define the ghoul Swiss. Liv trying to defend Jutty does not define the ghoulette Aurora.

What happened with the whole lawsuit situation back in 2017 does not define those ghouls.

There is a reason why we use the name Smoke instead of Sodo. That is already Per's nickname outside of Ghost.

It can be hard at times to not associate a character with their actor, but it's important to do.

Please keep these all in mind when we meet the new ghouls.

Era IV - V Ghouls HCs (part 1)

Disclaimer!! We don't call Sodo, well... Sodo. We instead call him Smoke.

Basics

Phantom and Aurora are siblings with Aurora being the older sibling. Back in the Pits since they were ghoul kits they've been inseparable. They were summoned together. Can be a bit chaotic with each other if left alone together, but the moment Swiss joins in they'll all need to be watched like a hawk.

It took a while for Mountain, Smoke, and Aether to warm up to Copia as frontman since they were used to Terzo

Ghoulettes have girls night every week. They blast white girl bangers all night

Ghouls send Copia the ant with bindle photo when he scolds them to get out of trouble (it always works)

While most ghouls like to play fight, Swiss and Aurora do it the most and it’s usually pretty intense so the others avoid with them unless feeling particularly worked up. You would think they were actually trying to kill each other but no

Cirrus, Cumulus, Smoke, and Swiss watch those shitty reality TV shows to point fun at humans and the awful things they do. This is nearly a weekly thing if any of them have time to hang out with free time.

Cumulus and Cirrus always would send messages with at least one emoticon

We know Mountain is the tallest, but the smallest current ghouls are both Cumulus and Aurora at 5’3”. However, they are not the smallest ghouls of modern day Ghost (that title goes to Mist at 4'10" aka three sauces tall.)

Favorite animal is pangolins because they look like dragons

Went by Dewdrop when water ghoul, but changed it to Smoke when he became a fire ghoul

Middle child energy

He still has some fin-like features on him, but not as much as before. Some water ghouls could have scales like fish, so you'd have to squint to see the patches of scales on Smoke. They were larger when he was still water. The fire features kinda override it.

Not mean (unless it's Aether /j), just easily irritated

Would never get angry at any ghoulettes. He drinks respect women juice everyday. He most definitely fears Cirrus sometimes

Sometimes joins the ghoulettes with their girls night just to get away from all the chaos, especially after a rough week

Will sell Aether's non-existent soul for a single corn chip

Ok he actually does care about Aether, but he just has limits to his shenanigans.

Has a huge crush on Aurora, but can't find any way to express it so he just runs away the moment she looks at him. Ran into walls and door frames multiple times because of this.

Since he was transformed into a fire ghoul instead of naturally born like that, the features a fire ghoul would normally have are weaker with him (ex: he doesn’t radiate much heat from his body)

Wants affection and then bites when he’s had enough like a cat

Doesn’t take criticism very well

Aether

Favorite animal is tigers because of how big they are and goofy they can be at times

He has some knowledge in healing and health, so if any of the ghouls, or anyone who is close to him in general, are sick or injured they go straight to Aether

He does that thing where he gets his hands wet and flings his fingers out to get water on Smoke

Helped take care of and watch over ghoul kits back in the Pits

He is still around the Ministry after leaving Ghost and still hangs out with the others when they're not touring.

Favorite animal is ram since he has similar horns like them and how tough they are when butting heads with each other

Gentle giant

Has long, dark black hair that is super soft to touch and doesn’t mind the others playing with his hair

Ghoul equivalent to a golden retriever

Like a big brother to Smoke and Aether

Doesn't hunt like the other ghouls. He is able to control his urges, and plus there's already food inside so why bother

Plant dad. Even if you give him a fake plant he'll still love and cherish it. Names them all

Usually will have to stop Smoke from trying to lunge for Aether’s throat

Taller than the average earth ghoul at 7’3”. There were bruises on his face because of walking right into door frames when first summoned. Gets front passenger seat privileges

Keeper of air jail (lifting somebody up if they are causing trouble) Grabbing em by the scruff when the others are fighting

She is one of the sweetest ghoulettes, but she has quite a bit of weird and creepy pictures and items that will freak people out. Her and Swiss send each other cursed images and videos

HCs about ghoul kits

I love the idea of ghoul kits so much lol - Doggy

I feel like the ghoul kits are more animal-like at first and as they get older they act like humans/adult ghouls would. Like trying to run around on all four, more growly, biting anything, etc.

Ghoul kits go through teething much more early than human babies. Because of how sharp their teeth are, however, it's much more painful and needs constant soothing and biting on random things to help with this.

You think ghouls try to loaf? The best they can despite human-like anatomy. The ghoul kits could easily do it since they're more creature looking, but it ends up a habit that follows them into adulthood. The most guilty of this would probably be Phantom and Swiss. Bros try to loaf but it ends up feeling uncomfortable af.

When biting down on something, ghoul kits will do little bunny kicks at what they are biting on.

Ghoul kits smack at anything like cats. Whether it be out of curiosity, hating a certain thing, or fighting with another ghoul kit. Sometimes their claws will easily link onto anything, so when swatting at something sometimes their hand will get stuck. If they manage to get stuck they will cry out until they're helped.

Ghoul kits need things to constantly chew on. If they have nothing to chew on, they resort to biting other kits, older ghouls, or even themselves. This can obviously lead to damaging things and bleeding for others and themselves.

Ghoul kits will climb on top tables, counters, trees, etc. to knock off random things for no reason. Be careful with fragile items.

Any ghoul kit that is accidentally summoned are required to go back to the Pits. However, it takes longer for a kit to recover from a summon, lasting at least two months. Different ghouls throughout the years in the Ministry have insisted on keeping the kits, but sending them back will always be the final decision by the Clergy. This didn't stop some ghouls from keeping any, however. Sadly, some have been caught and punished along with sending the ghoul kit back immediately, whether the kit has fully recovered or not. There have been a few infamous cases of this throughout history of ghouls barricading themselves in a room, with the ghoul kit, for hours or even days. One infamous case in the 1820s lasted three months with a multi ghoulette that managed to kill both humans and ghouls just to keep the ghoul kit. Nobody knows what happened to that ghoulette ever since they managed to get the ghoul kit away from them.

Ghoul kits will most likely start learning to talk around 5 years old, unlike human children. Until then, they communicate with squeaks, squeals, growls, hissing, and purring.

Please give them enrichment, or they will start destroying things with their claws.

Y'know how in Splatoon that inklings and octolings grow up to learn to control their humanoid forms? It's like that with ghoul kits when they learn their glamoured forms.

When ghoul kits fight it's not just playing, but it's also to see who is much stronger. The one who is the weakest might try to fight until they win, or just give up entirely and stay by the older ghouls. This is usually something bad since ghoul kits need to socialize with each other and not just with the adult. The older ghouls will pretend to be beaten by the weak ghoul kit so they can encourage them to go back to the other kits to keep playing with them.

Ghoul kits do that angry “non nom nom” sound like cats do when they're eating. Just like loafing, this can be a habit that follows into adulthood. Sodo, Delta, and Ivy are guilty of this and are poked fun at for it.

Ghoul kits are very fluffy (yet also very mangy), but as they get older they become way less fluffy.

You could get any expensive items and enrichment for a ghoul kit and all they’ll play with is the random string on the floor.

Ghoul kits are the size of newborn kittens when they are birthed, but they can grow rather quickly in size. By the time a ghoul kit is three they're nearly the same size as a six year old human.

When frightened, ghoul kits will get on all fours and try to arch their back and fluff up just like cats

Ghoul kits can be easily “deactivated” like kittens by grabbing or pinching them by the scruff. This usually will fade away over time for most kits, but the “deactivation” will remain in some.

Ghoul kits sit by a door to beg someone to open it and then just stare outside or immediately want back in

They get those big bellies after dinking milk ^^^^ They sometimes get little milk comas lol

Not only did he not want to lead Ghost, but he didn't want to be Papa either. However, due to tradition with the eldest son becoming the next Papa, he had to take the spot when Nihil was forced to step down

Before he lost his hair, it used to be long, light blonde with gray streaks.

Since he was the oldest, he had to be the “man of the house” and be a father figure to his brothers.

He’s more strict than his brothers due to him being more of a father figure than their actual dad.

Has a soft spot for anything plant related and probably had a whole garden.

Owns a Motorola Razr flip phone that he can only make calls with and take crappy low quality photos.

You could try so hard to show different games to him but he will always go back to Driving Miss Daisy. His only reason why is just that it is his favorite game.

Since ghoul horns can fall off from being damaged or shedding (will explain in future hc ;3), Copia keeps them like a mother keeps their child's baby teeth. He has to keep Mountain’s horns in a closet since earth ghouls have large horns, plus Mountain is taller than the average earth ghoul, so his horns are much bigger too.

Has multiple sets of his track pants, jacket, and “V V L G A R I” shirts because it’s really the only thing he wears when not working or not performing. Won’t wear the same one for multiple days straight, so that’s why he got multiple

No stranger to existential crises when it comes to death. Panic attack almost every single time

Has has trauma and nightmares from when he was forced to take photoshoots with Terzo’s severed head and found out the previous Papas were killed, making him believe that every Papa in the past has to be killed when they are done being Papa. It especially messed with his head when he learned they were his brothers. This is mainly why he was so afraid to die and didn’t want to step down as Papa
