“I want more,

So I give more.

But the more I give,

The more you take.

My protection moves quickly,

Cutting off the mistake.

My walls make you angry;

But without them, I run dry.

Leaving me like a violet bent backwards

Over the grass.

A self-sacrificial lamb given as dowry

For the baggage revealed

to us both

since the start.

An inner score for the sad teen girl.

It pushed the wheel,

The pen waits on,

Wait,

Waiting to roll along

And create.

As it always was.

For you,

My dear,

my heaviest bag.

A bull running at me full speed

Like I’m all she has.

Trampling the violets

she never noticed

I’d been growing. “
