I was trying to figure out who it is Gilear reminds me of, and I think I've finally put my finger on it- Magrat Garlick.

Which on one hand is very unfair to Magrat, but on the other makes me feel so certain that- flying in the face of what Brennan says to the contrary- had Gilear gone to the Nightmare Forest we would've ended up getting a Magrat-Punches-The-Elf-Queen-In-The-Face moment because THERE IS NO NIGHTMARE YOU CAN SHOW GILEAR THAT IS GOING TO BE WORSE THAN EVERY DAY OF HIS ACTUAL LIFE.

Extremely gifted with languages, despite not being good at magic

Is one of the few people The Luggage, a highly homicidal suitcase, is somewhat friendly to

That time he got briefly displaced to our world, had a PhD in nuclear physics

Looked Death, the literal grim reaper, in the face and just noped away. Successfully. More than once

This (among other things) does mark him as being a genuine, actual, legit wizard, even if he’s just the worst at magic

Fell of the literal edge of the world and survived

Fistfought a creature from the Dungeon Dimensions and won

Kept one of the 8 most powerful spells in the world inside his head for YEARS without losing his mind

Later, proceeded to CAST this spell and also all of the other 7, thereby saving the world.

Faced off against the most powerful wizard on the Disc, armed with nothing but half a brick inside of a sock. Won. Thereby saved the world.

Survived an intetderminate amount of time trapped inside the Dungeon Dimensions with no chance of escape

By the way, he got stuck in there because he was protecting a kid from said wizard

I don’t actually remember much past Sourcery but I will add to this when I get there and you can feel free to also

Also his life is the way it is bc both Fate and Lady Luck are fighting over him

A Zelda Head Cannon

Recently after getting into @linkeduniverse and the announcement of Link’s Awakening I was reminded of a head canon that I had once A Link Between Worlds came out; After being released from the nightmare of the wind fish Link washes ashore to Hyurle, only to find that many years have past and he doesn’t really have a home to go to and decides to settle for an ordinary life of a blacksmiths apprentice (which of course comes crashing down in the events of ALBW).

So cute and thank you so much for the drawing, giving us content for the fandom, and having the raffle! Hiyoko is one of my fave playable characters in a game, and I’ve always been fascinated with how other people see her.

Things I definitely want in Fire Emblem Three Houses

- Gay

- More realistic armor designs (like I can take fanservice designs like the Fates mages but the fuckin panty cavalry riders need to GO)

- For the love of god can we stop with the incest holy shit

- No more units that have one support and it’s with the avatar

- If there is an Avatar can we please pick a skin color like in Pokemon 

- More age variation AND NOT YOUNGER like add more characters like Gregor, Reina, Yukimura, etc. I think Shadows of Valentia did this pretty well.

- Banger of a soundtrack (Awakening and Fates OSTs were amazing)

- One version please….

- A non sword lord

There have been so many games I never thought I’d get to see sequels to that are coming this year. Persona Q2 was a lost dream and now we have a western release femc is a thing! Rune Factory 4 was one of my fave 3DS games, and I’ve long since accepted that we were never seeing this franchise again, but here we are with a switch special edition and a fifth game. 2019 was already looking good with Luigi’s Mansion 3/Animal Crossings/Core Pokemon Game/Fire Emblem Three Houses but Nintendo goes beyond and gave me what I never expected.
