Spent about 6hrs building and magnetising today (well, plus chatting and grabbing food, I was at the gameshop afterall). All told there'll be 8 melee weapons (2 magnets each (16)), 8 shoulder connections (8 arm mags + 4 for shoulders (12)) , 4 torso magnets (4), 6 magnets for the chest each (12), for 44 magnets across the box of 2 penitent engines. That's nearly half the box of 100 for two bodies!
The system for the weapons I copied from a vid, it's simple but genius. The melee weapons are built into the arms, and the ranged weapons are 'removeable' but it'd be a pain and a half every time and likely break. So just glue down the removeable ones and cut off the attached ones XD It'd work better with smaller magnets, this was all they had, but it gives a nice clunky cyberpunk wrist/joint I enjoy the look of, and it mostly flows into it. Plus, the more powerful bigger magnets give a super satisfying click and won't fall off
The flails turn btw, it's a default option that's nice to include. Close to half done. Only thing I'd do different is actually drill the leg magnet, it's not enough room to actually pose it left over
Super excited to have every wargear for my penitent engines at the drop of a hat :3

This is my custom inquisitor Ariella! Eldar mohawk, novitiate base, marine pauldron, rando box for ammo, tyranid gun x2, sister gun arm x2, space wolves? cape, and what I feel is a very powerful stride, identifiable form, and unique appearance, Bits are mostly older resin or plastic bits minus the novitiate, from my bits I inherited from dad's collection
Lore to follow, but I want to make some short stories surrounding her and my other armies lore within their system of planets

Something that is definitely being lost in 40K is the joy of sawing up different minis and making characters.
30K is way more fun.

@kat-of-aelyna elder scrolls. Is cool

An unusually-shaped building (heavily inspired by the Rat In The Pot Inn, from TES III: Morrowind)

I made a custom inquisitor. Novitiate base, I believe a old space wolves cloak, maybe warhammer fantasy, some rando marine shoulder pauldron, some preprimed hollow box I filled with sprue bits/power crystals, 2 tyranid guns, a sisters arm with cut bolter for one grip, a sisters arm imbedded into the other gun, whatever sourced all those mohawks I got from dad. Most of these bits should be plastic or resin from between 1990-2010 XD From my inherited bits mostly. Going to be an Inquisitor for my sisters, probably just run it all as generic weapons
Ideas for her name? She crazy but she purdy. Very much has a silhouette I like even with her busyness

I like the triangle idea, and saves wood from a square, plus stronger. Pallet style floor is a good idea, especially with my shops concrete floors (Rn I'm using a milk crate on foam, so slightly off the floor, but it's overflowing). Need to decide if I want shelves, dividers, or bins

Spring means getting organized, so everything gets wheeled out of the corner so the lumber can get sorted and stacked. It helps to have all options visible when choosing wood for a project, so vertical storage is a big plus. A safety chain about 4’ off the ground keeps the tall stuff in place.

I made a mortar and lazcannon from scrap from school's plumbing trash bin for my praetorian guard. Bulky, nice and steampunk. May add studs/rivets. Going to cast them to have full squads. Sister shown for scale

Work in progress bonkmata and hospitaller kitbashes. Hospitaller is battle sisters squad box with novitiate surgeon arm and some seagulls from a train store proxying doves, plus using the wrong legs so she's tilted with only 1 foot down. There's also the bricks from the novitiates in the back, and a sprue joint I thought could be a neat metal bit. Wounded head is from etsy, hooded head is standard The dogmata is the novitiate superior body with a very butch lesbian head off the normal bss sprue, mace is novitiates

Please, I'm begging y'all, say Eldar. Say Imperial Guard. Call the stormtroopers stormtroopers. You are not GW's legal department, you don't need to give a damn about copyright.

Sisters Army Start Point
So this is my army's progress as of rn. Not shown are an extra unbuilt Novitiate squad (need to swap Killteam roles eventually), and 3 old metal sisters I need to base. Included are my vintage repressor, dialogus, and cherub. On the right are Novitiates with chainswords proxied as Repentia (hate the gymshorts), and in the back are some Seraphim and Zephyrim on custom sculpted Greco-Roman Pillar flightstands. Also shown is my Repressor, which is my current project alongside my Junith kitbash. Feel free to request any closeups and I'll post em, was hard to get focus on the whole batch. Bit above 1k points

Brand new blog
New blog around here. I'm super into kitbashing, have way too many old and half painted armies for how long I've been doing this (inherited from my father), and my goal is to have the bits bin you call for when you Need Something Specific.

My work in progress kitbashed Junith Eruita for my sisters. Covered in xenos, daemon, and heretic skulls. Made of a Kinder Egg ball (so illegal in America lol), Kinder Egg flower ring, 2 bits bin guns, 2 super glue caps, 2 qtip puffs covered in super glue, oldhammer horse head and oldhammer knight heads (on back not shown) from dads wedding bits (he made table centrepieces from old warhammer fantasy knights, each had many heads), plus a tag from a stuffie. Oh, and don't forget the skulls from the famous Skull Box. Flight stand and character tbd
