actually kinda awkward to reach that stage of life where you don't really have a group of friends but rather individual friends that are all over the map and with different schedules so people just assume you're somewhat friendless. and in a way you kinda are but also life just keeps happening so really what is there to do

hellooo! i thought i’d finally make an intro post, this is definitely long in size and long overdue, so, sorry about that to anyone that cares to read…

i’m gonna be honest, i’m pretty new to tumblr in terms of actually posting, and i’m not exactly organised, i just use this as one of many creative outlets i can express myself with. 😭

here’s some basic info:

my name is arabella - not my real name, i just don’t want irls finding me on here…

i’m from scotland and i LOVE going into edinburgh and glasgow.

i’m going to college in late summer to study the creative industries!

if you couldn’t already tell by looking at my profile, i’m OBSESSED with franz ferdinand. it took me an embarrassing amount of time to actually start listening to them, but now i spend almost all of my free time either listening to them, saving pictures of them on pinterest, or watching/reading their interviews.

another band that i hold a gross amount of knowledge about in my brain is arctic monkeys. i’ve been listening to them ever since i was little because of my dads cds, and i really got into them around five or six years ago now. i’m proud to say that they were my first concert experience in june of 2023, and it was AMAZING. (i blame them for all of my money disappearing whenever i see any gig announcements now.)

i might as well do a top three now at the rate i’m going, so another favourite band of mine would be the fratellis. again, i heard them growing up because of my parents listening habits, and only started listening to them independently over the past few years. bonus points for them being scottish as well!

film & television!

this section is gonna be reaaaally short cause i don’t watch much tv at all, but here we go.

films: forrest gump, primal fear, fight club, the jurassic park series, the hangover trilogy, james cameron’s avatar.

shows: my mad fat diary, gossip girl, outerbanks, sweetpea, i’ve also started watching skins & i’m enjoying it so far!

ミ✫ hobbies!

ever since i started going to school i’ve enjoyed writing stories. i wouldn’t call myself a writer and it isn’t often i share my work, but i do enjoy it from time to time! same with reading. i have TONS of books, a lot of which i haven’t read yet…

i’ve been playing guitar for roughly four years now, and as i’ve said above, i wouldn’t call myself a guitarist, i just enjoy doing it!

idk if you’d count this as a hobby but i LOVE going to concerts. they’re my favourite things ever. as i mentioned previously, i’ve saw arctic monkeys! their support acts were the hives and the mysterines who were amazing! i saw 50 cent, jeremih and busta rhymes in november of 2023, who were surprisingly really good! i saw franz ferdinand last september, and again in january, and i’ll be seeing them AGAIN this summer! i also saw kasabian and the streets who were great as well. mine and my parents bank accounts hate me, but i wouldn’t change it for the world lol.

idk if i can call this a hobby anymore because it’s what i’m going to college for, but i really enjoy photography! i got a camera for christmas a few years ago, but i use my phone as well. i post my photos on pinterest (@shotbyalix) if anyone’s interested!

i enjoy gaming in my free time. i usually play fortnite, gta online and minecraft. i’ve played red dead redemption II which altered my brain chemistry, and i’ll also mention life is strange which i started playing recently.

lastly, i collect records! this is pretty self explanatory, so i wont say much other than hmv HATES to see me coming.
