1. Do you remember how you developed a love for reading?
I have loved reading for as long as I can remember. My mom is a teacher and she’s the one who taught me how to read. Ever since I learned how to, I have loved it.
2. Where do you usually read?
Everywhere. If it’s a good book, I usually bring it with me where ever I go.
3. Do you prefer to read one book at a time or several at once?
One at a time, that way I feel like I can completely lose myself in the story.
4. What is/are your favourite book(s)?
I have a lot of them, so I don’t think I have time to name them all. But the first one I rember falling completely in love with and that I still love is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen that I read when I was 13. Other than that it’s probably the Robert Galbraith books, the Alchemist, and a whole lot of others.
5. Do you have a least favourite book?
Last year I was studying English at uni, and I read a play called Cloud 9 by Caryl Churchill, and I just completely hated it. I have read many books that weren’t great, but this one just crossed lines that I think should never be crossed, and therefore I just couldn’t stand it.
6. What is your favourite genre?
Pretty much any. I read what I find interesting, and don’t really get caught up in genres.
7. Is there a genre you won’t read?
No, not that I can think of.
8. What is the longest book you ever read?
I honestly have no idea.
9. What book are you currently reading?
None for fun
10. What was the last book you finished?
Not sure, I think maybe it was Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith.
11. What was the last book you bought?
1984 by George Orwell
12. Do you have a favourite book quote?
Many, I’m just really bad at remembering them. The first one I can think of off the top of my head is: “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light.” by J.K. Rowling
13. Do you prefer library books or buying books?
I prefer to buy them, because I like to be able to take as long as I want, and to keep the books after I’ve finished. I often go back to books I have already read if I’m uncertain if I remember any part of the story correctly, or if I hear about a detail I missed being discussed.
14. Where do you buy your books?
Pretty much wherever I find them, preferably where they are cheepest.
15. How many books do you buy a month?
It varies, sometimes none, sometimes 5.
16. How many books do you own?
No idea, more than I have room for in my dorm.
17. How do you feel about second hand books?
I think they’re great
18. Do you prefer E-books or physical books?
Physical books, definitely.
19. Do you prefer paperback or hardback?
Either, both is good. I generally end up buying paperback though, because of the price.
20. Do you prefer to read trilogies/series or standalones?
All of the above.
21. What is the weirdest thing you’ve used as a bookmark?
I don’t really use weird stuff. If I don’t have a proper one, I just tear a small piece off a newspaper or something. But for the past couple of years I’ve generally used boarding passes from my flights.
22. What is more important to you: characters or plot?
Characters. Plot is very important too, but a good plot is practically useless without good characters.
23. Do you ever judge a book by its cover?
Yeah, probably a lot.
24. What’s the most beautiful book you own?
Less than a week ago @ladyhamiltons gave me a book with a collection of Jane Austen’s novels. It’s blue, looks amazing, and it’s one of my favorite authours. That’s probably the most beautiful one I own.
25. What is your favorite book to movie/tv adaptation?
Pride and Prejudice movie adaptaion from 2005, also I love the Harry Potter movies.
26. What is the best beverage to drink while reading a book?
A cup of fruity tea in winter, or some cold pepsi max in summer.
27. Are you looking forward to any book release? If so, which one?
I’m looking forward to the next Robert Galbraith book.
28. Recommend me a book :3
Wuthering Height or Frankenstein. I have a special place in my heart for the classics.
