For the 3rd time in a row we organise the Pride and this year a cop who DOESNT WANT US TO KNOW HIS NAME is saying that we should cancel because it can be dangerous OR we can do the Pride but we will have to walk in a street far from where we wanted to go, because "it's dangerous" (more like he doesnt want ppl to see queer ppl in the streets)

We are 99% sure this man is from the far right, like 90% of cops anyway

one thing I really appreciate in the game is how it deals with Gustave's shutdown at the beginning. the fact Gustave doesn't say a word from the moment he gets separated from Maelle during the beach attack until the moment he meets Lune, how he doesn't bother with the lumina converter at all, and then the gun of course

But like, in another game he would have probably woken up and immediatly said something like "what happened? I need to find the others" (quest pop up) or had a dramatic breakdown immediatly on waking up, but no. he's silent, he's out of it, he's still in shock, going through the motions well enough to survive but he's not really processing. there are no unnatural little comments about the tutorials, no "oh a grapple point" or anything like that, and I really appriciate that. that the game allows us to marinate in the moment rather than pulling us away to do tutorializing

I will never get tired of watching streamers getting to hear Monoco's theme for the first time.

Majority is "eyes go big and a head tilt" but its just so genuinely "This character is my favorite I don't care" nano second reaction afterwards that I adore so much.

Games just "Okay look we know this is the last party member and you're midwayish through the game. Lets establish Monoco as fast as possible" and they make it work. ESPECIALLY with his dialogue with Verso shortly after. That fucking scene makes me laugh every damn time I watch it.

Real torture is getting a new tattoo on your arm and your tattoo artist talks to you but you're mediterranean so you HAVE to use your hands to talk but you can't because obviously you can't move the arm being tattooed so every word takes 200% more focus than usual because all you say in your head is "dont move dont move dont move"

So when you get to a certain point in Abiotic Factor you start getting stalked by the leyak and there's a whole area where you're supposed to see it for the first time and read some lore to get familiarized with it but when I got there I didn't see any of that because I was on my phone texting someone.

Britain, France and Canada issued an unusually strong joint statement Monday, warning they are considering imposing sanctions on Israel over the "intolerable level of human suffering in Gaza." The statement, released by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s office alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, called for an immediate halt to Israeli military operations in the Palestinian enclave and the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid.

“We call on the Israeli Government to stop its military operations in Gaza and immediately allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. This must include engaging with the UN to ensure a return to delivery of aid in line with humanitarian principles,” the leaders wrote. The statement also demanded the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas. The leaders accused Israel of failing to provide essential aid to civilians, warning this may constitute a violation of international humanitarian law. They also condemned statements by Israeli Cabinet ministers suggesting the forced relocation of Gaza residents, calling such remarks a breach of international law.

While acknowledging Israel’s right to self-defense, the joint declaration criticized the scope of the latest IDF campaign, known as Operation Gideon’s Chariots, as “wholly disproportionate,” and said their governments would not remain passive. “We will not stand by while the Netanyahu Government pursues these egregious actions,” the statement read, noting that targeted sanctions are among the measures under consideration.

The three countries also addressed developments in the West Bank, urging Israel to halt settlement expansion, which they labeled illegal and a threat to the two-state solution. They vowed not to hesitate in taking further action if necessary.[...]

The criticism comes as 25 Western countries and major humanitarian organizations issued a joint statement Monday urging Israel to immediately allow the resumption of large-scale humanitarian aid to Gaza.
